Summary: The Shinjuku incident has left Lelouch with much to think about. Receiving the power of the king was enough of a burden, but watching his childhood friend die has thrown his emotions out of balance.

Author's Note: I swear the fic is better than the summary. And I do not own Code Geass or its characters; if I did I would have fired the animators for making Lelouch's hair brown.
