Character Development

Hey everyone! I wanted to start a thread on character development, in order to sort of keep track of how the characters in Season 2 have seemingly made progress character wise (or not). I know it's still quite early in the series, but a lot has happened in the past four episodes. This season seems to be moving more smoothly than the first, which I like.

If there has already been a topic like this, please forgive me!

I will stray from talking about Lelouch, however, but you guys feel free. I don't really think I could articulate in words what really became different about him (more or less, he seems pretty much the same, but you guys could prove me wrong).

The Viletta (Villeta?) and Ougi (Ohgi?) relationship interests me. I kind of like them as a couple, even though they were a little "too sweet." What can I say? I'm such a sap. xD As for their relationship, it seems that Sunrise is hinting at a reunion of sorts, between them. Lets hope it's spectacularly overdramatic- I have a feeling that they'll probably meet in some angsty battle. I also ship her with Jeremiah, but poor Orange-kun has been rather dormant lately. D: I have a feeling he might show up again in some strange way, though... I dunno- It's sunrise.

Suzaku's character, I think, has gotten a little hollow. For some reason, I feel like he doesn't really have a purpose because Euphemia's dead... I seriously apologize to his fans! I'm not one of those people who hate him with a passion, but I wonder what he'll do, really. Sure, revenge is nice, and he's a nice antagonist for Lelouch and everything, but really, he kind of seems like his heads a little empty. *knocks on it* I don't know, there's really nothing going on in there except for revenge plots, it seems. Who knows, maybe in this season, they'll bring up more about his father?

I miss Lloyd and Milly. I really do- And I'll stop my fangirling ways right here.

And, who knew Guilford could be so badass? Episode 4 helped me gain more respect for him, definitely. Except for the fact he kind of squashed his own soldier- Bad idea. Is it just me, or did he somehow get seriously buff? Or was he always seriously buff? Ahem, sorry. It just irked me, for some reason. His loyalty to Cornelia is cute. Speaking of Cornelia, I don't remember where she is... She's being tended to medically, right?

See, I don't think he's even being emo, whiny, or angsty. He's being blank. I feel nothing from him. He's turned into the King's pawn. I hope it's all an act, but... well... he gave up Lulu to his father. Which was probably one of the most cruel things he's done in the series (knowing, or surely suspecting what would happen to Lulu). So yeah, while it could be all an act (and I really hope it is) if it is an act... he's doing a really good job of hiding that fact.

I'm curious about if Lulu's command he gave him using the Geass is still effective. About not dying or whatever it was. I hope they don't forget that, since the Geass seems indefinite. Also, could he be under another character's Geass (seeing how everyone is turning out to have one, but that's a completely different issue). It could be why he's been acting so strange...

Eh, I don't generally like Shota or anything. I just feel kind of bad for him. Especially how Lelouch is totally manipulating him. I have a feeling it will end up blowing up in Lulu's face though. It should be an interesting sub-plot. Lelouch... seems to have gotten even more ruthless than in last season, or is that just me? I think a large part of that is because Nanali is missing. Let's hope she turns up unharmed or Lelouch will totally go off the deep end.
