Ah, yes I see. :) I don't think Suzaku ever has acted that way though; he's openly defied orders before (and done things, in collaboration with Lloyd, that weren't *strictly* sanctioned by the army's chain of command). I think his whole thing is to stick to his morals but try to work within the system. Whatever he's done in the past that he feels he needs to atone for, this is the new him he's creating and he's going to play that part until he becomes it.
