I also have an amazing memory for completely useless information, but not nearly enough of it is social. In fact, I read that Manifest post of yours and didn't even see that strikethrough Suzaku line. (Don't worry: Google's cache has exonerated you from the dire accusation of retroactive journaling.) Sorry that I could not hang around longer, but with the Manifest press pass comes certain expectations that I will take awesome photos. This is a difficult undertaking, so the more photo I can take, the better. Typically I take three thousand over the three days, so I have to keep moving! Usually I am not so ambulatory.
TTGL does have interesting dub parallels. It's not a popular position, but I am a dub-watcher when available (and tolerable). However, having Suzaku, Euphemia, Lelouch, Diethard, Clovis/Claudio, Viletta, Kallen, Lloyd, and so many more walking around was a little weird for me. Tohdoh's voice was entirely different, so I didn't even pick up on it. But maybe my reaction was a little hypocritical, because I enjoyed Fate/Stay Night as the Lelouchless Geass reunion it seemed to me. Great soundtrack, familiar voices, acceptable story: reasonable anime!
I must confess that I have not seen FMA. For a noob like me, would you recommend I watch the original or the newer series?
