(no subject)

I saw this posted on Anime News Network earlier, and I thought you all might be interested. ^_^

Essentially, two DVD magazines are going to be released on December 21st and January 25th.  They'll have two cast audio recordings, quote collections, the next episode previews, and the first one will have a promotional video for the sequel!

*Begins counting down till December*

Well, according to your profile, you're in Hong Kong, right? So a trip to Japan would probably cost you less than it'd cost me. :P

As for magazines, I recently started buying Chara and Chara Selection. I get Chara Selection for Takaguchi Satosumi's "Yononaka wa Bokura ni Amai" series. I also get Chara for another, newer series of hers, "Nanahikari", and for Koide Mieko's "Koi no Tsumeato" series as well. Koi no Tsumeato has 13 chapters so far, 8 of which have been scanlated by the group Dokidoki (http://www.aragami.org/doki.php). Yononaka has 6 volumes (going on 7 with the next chapter to be released) and 27 chapters, 8 of which have been scanlated by the group Hochuuami (http://www.hochuuami.com/). They were lacking translators, and there were also few raw chapters that had been scanned until recently, so the project is moving along a bit slowly. Nanahikari has about 4-5 chapters so far, and only the first one has been scanlated by Aarinfantasy, whose forums are Here (http://www.aarinfantasy.com/forum/forum.php). If you're interested in japanese raws for either Yononaka or Koi no Tsumeato, you can find them by doing searches for "Yononaka" and "Koi no Tsumeato", respectively. There are no raw scans of Nanahikari that I could find, either on the Aarinfantasy forums or elsewhere.

Getting back to magazines, I have also been regularly buying PASH! and Animage whenever they have some Gundam Seed or Destiny posters (it's a good thing most posters of even Destiny are of Athrun and/or Kira), BeBoy Gold whenever it has a chapter of Yamane Ayano's "Finder" series, and Ichiraci whenever it has a chapter of "Silver Diamond". Both the Finder series and Silver Diamond are licensed, the latter since more recently, but you can still find both raw scans and scanlations of the Finder series, at least, at the LJ communities [livejournal.com profile] club_sion and [livejournal.com profile] yamane_ayano. Silver Diamond has a total of 37 chapters and 12 volumes so far, and Aarinfantasy forums used to have chinese raws, and a few more recent japanese raws, but they've been removed since the announcement of the licensing. The group that was doing scanlations of Silver Diamond, Storm in Heaven, has also removed their downloads for it, but they did 22 chapters and provided a summary for chapter 23 (since 22 ended on a cliffhanger). I can upload these chapters for you, as well as the chinese raws, if you wish. ^_^

To be perfectly honest, I've only seen up to episode 12 of Code Geass, and have been a little less into it than other series that I was more interested in at the time, mostly because I didn't have enough HD space for everything. Since our local anime club was showing it at its screenings the past semester, that's how I've watched the few episodes of it that I have. So that means I also haven't collected magazine issues with Code Geass posters (unless they also had Gundam Seed or Destiny posters), or bought any other Code Geass magazine. I definitely plan to get more into it though, and will download all of the episodes soon, and probably buy all of the CDs for it, at least, if I find the rest of the series as interesting as what I've seen of it so far. ^_^

You seem to be into yaoi like me, so there are a few really good authors I can recommend to you if you wish. At least, I myself liked them more than others. I especially recommend Yononaka, Koi no Tsumeato, the Finder series and Silver Diamond. Nanahikari I haven't had a chance to read yet, but I loved both the drawing style and story of Yononaka, so I don't think it should disappoint me. Please let me know if you'd be interested in me recommending some more authors to you. ^_^

Well, I can recommend some other authors, but I'm at work and I have all the info at home, so if you want, I'll recommend some more authors to you once I get home. ^_^

Err... I meant to say that I haven't bought any other Code Geass 'merchandise', not magazine. Just realized while re-reading my post that I made the mistake. Sorry about that. ^^;;;
