No, I doubt. They just want people to buy the posters. (I've spent lots of money trying to get specific posters before... They come out of the machine randomly.) Also, Euphie wasn't in any of the first series posters. By first and second series, I mean of the posters (like vol. 1 or vol. 2)... Doesn't have anything to do with the anime series seasons.
