I think... officially, it's supposed to be Zino, but I call him Gino anyway because Zino sounds just plain weird. And Engrish-y. I personally think they were actually supposed to name him Gino, but someone got messed up with the zi- and gi- sounds and so it got messed up.
Really? I think it was Zino but somebody mis translated it and made it "Gi" instead of "Zi". I don't know how, the katakana for zi and gi are very dissimilar... xD
Yeah I think Zino sounds a bit weird, but then when I say Gino, sometimes I find myself saying "Guy-no" which sounds weird... xD
