eBay buying guide

Hello everyone! Due to the amount of bootlegs and bad deals I've been seeing up on eBay, I decided to write up a buying guide I think may help people avoid bootlegs and make better purchases.

The guide is available over here. Many points I make in the guide can be applied to listings currently on eBay right now. If you feel there is anything I should add or have any specific questions, feel free to ask. I hope this helps!

What a nice guide, I'm always weary of ebay ^^

I think people might not like how the post is not directly Code Geass related though x_x

Thats really nice, thanks alot. I almost never buy on ebay because I'm generally suspicious and think everything is a bootleg. This is very helpful though.

nice guide, sankyuu~! ^^

I've been an Ebay shopper for years and it's just insane how many bootlegs are on there.

Buying in Chinese is totally ok. If it's Code 3. ;)

Very helpful, thanks for posting it! Wow, I have so many fake overpriced posters...*shame*

True. At least you only find them, if you're looking for it. (Or on yesasia.com)

What I'm most disappointed at is that even amazon.com is selling bootlegs. WTF?!

Wow, thanks for this! I've been seeing so much fake merchandise on there lately It's hard to tell if some are the real thing or not.

hiya,

It's an excellent guide. I always contemplated to make one of these myself for buyers as well. Great job Mew :3

One thing I do have something to say on though regarding posters found in the japanese magazines. Yes you can get the poster itself and the magazine itself at the same price as the seller would offer it, but with the cases when the magazine released on that month become out of print it is generally hard to find them. It's hard sometimes to find websites that still carry that specific issue. You would have sites that either would say they are sold out or on back order, which then is still isn't always guaranteed. For buyers who would really still want the poster or whatever extra that was included in the magazine they would then have to go to other sources to try to get the item. It will be more expensive and cost more than how it would be originally, but considering it is out of print and they wouldn't be printing them anymore It's not a bad option. It's not a fake item either.

yeah, there is that scheme. =[

Then something you can do where you mentioned in your guide to do research on merchandise. You can also point out then in the posters/furoku from magazine guide to research what month released that particular furoku so buyers can still just search threw online sites, and if apparantly they can't then they'll do the last resort if so chose.

Just a suggestion, regardless besides that it's an excellent guides :3 Many buyers will be happy.
