This topic came up on cosplay.com...

[Poll #1187121]
I'm interested in to see what your guys opinion is because the way I look at it, Lulu's hair is black and nothing more but some morons on cosplay.com thinks it's dark brown: http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=147188 .The nice easy way for me to remember it is that Lulu is black, Suzaku's hair is brown. Simple, ne? What's your opinion?

That reminds me...that I don't understand how Lelouch could end up with such a dark colour (like mom) yet his little sister ends up with a pale brown (though her hair is just as abundant as mom's).

His hair colour though is definitely black. No shades of brown in that.

Emperor Charles.

Maybe Charles' hair is/was light? Or Marianne had light-haired relatives. I know it's possible; one of my cousins has light brown hair, but both her parents have reeeally dark hair. But my uncle has redheads in his side of the family.

That's only if there's two recessive genes and no dominant ones, right? :< I...I don't remember my HS biology enough to play with genes like that.

Traits like hair colors usually have more than two alleles influencing it...at least I think that's it... ^-^"" *vaguely remembers teacher talking about -something- being more complex as I was falling asleep*

genes :D.

either marianne carries the gene for brown hair or charles does. Its not unheard of, specially with all the possible gene combinations :).

:O I wanna know who's genes involved pink hair! But then with C.C.'s green hair and Mao's white...

:( Oh anime, you and your crazy colours.

Sad thing is that Charles' hair is all curly white now. :( We can't tell unless we make the supposition that given V.V.'s and all of Charles' other offsprings' light hair, then Charles also had light hair.

...That actually makes Lelouch the black sheep.

And I think the first prince's hair was a pale brown?

The pink hair though... There's no such thing as mixing white with red to make pink, is there?

Look daddy! That rule of survival of the fittest works with your kids' hair! :D Your genes are being dominated! </silly>

I think hair colors can mix, though. Since hair color is actually controlled by several genes; it's very easy to get different shades and such. That's why there are so many hair colors, as opposed to just one dominant and one recessive color.

(Although I'm really not sure about pink. I guess albinos don't have kids that often?)
