Cosplay-related question

Hi everyone~!

A friend of mine wants to cosplay either CC or Anya but is undecided which character suits her more...

So I need some votes, please and thank you~! ^_^

here's a picture of her under the cut

Note: not sure what to tag this as... so, will tag it under cosplay for now. >_<;

Edit: Sorry for not being able to reply to each comment, but we've read them all... (In the end, she wants to cosplay them both. LOL) My friend thanks everyone for all their comments~! She says: "I thank you all from my tiny little heart <3"

I'd say Anya. There's definitely some similarity there already.

She looks like she could pull of either, but I haven't seen many Anya cosplays -- so I'll go with everyone else above me and say Anya. ^-^

Anya! A little too petite for CC. :3

I would have to agree with Anya

I would pay to see her do Anya.
SO. CUUUUUUUUUUTE. XD

I could see her pulling of CC very easily as well, but I totally SQUEE over super-cute Anyas and she's pretty tiny and adorable. ^_^

It depends. There are several ways to tackle this. Given that one photo, I can't say if she's better for one than the other. You should have her consider several things first:

- Physical resemblance
Who does she resemble more? Are you going for physical accuracy here? Anya is about 155cm to 160cm in height, AA-cup, very pale complexion, 14 years old. C.C. is about 167cm tall, healthy cup size, and eternally 16. Looks like your friend is Asian? Her complexion will work against her in either case, since darker skin won't look too good with light colored hair, unless you're ready to do a ton of lighting and/or photoshop work.

- Effort
Which character has a tougher costume to make? Granted, both Anya and C.C. have a variety of costumes (C.C. edges out Anya here), so there are many options for you to consider. Are you skilled in sewing? Prop-making? Special materials (i.e. boning, pleather)? Anya would have tougher costumes to wear in general since both her pilot suit and Knight of the Round uniform have a high accidental chest slippage rate. C.C.'s outfits aren't a piece of cake in most cases, either.

- Cost
How much money does your friend have to spend? Is she going to buy the costumes and wigs right off the rack, or buy raw materials and make them on her own? Keep a budget in mind always for cosplay. It's scary how quickly the expenses stack up when you buy parts.

- Comfortableness
Would she be comfortable running around in public in the cosplay that she decides on? Would it be something embarrassing if someone snaps a photo and posts it online, or if the photo somehow makes its way to her relatives' inbox and/or workplace?

I think there are more things to consider, but these are the points right off the top of my head for now. You don't have to adhere to them 100%, since cosplay is mainly for personal enjoyment for most people and can be as casual as you'd like, but it's always good to keep things in perspective before you start. It'd suck to be in a mess when you're neck deep into working on the cosplay.
