What if the Rebellion Succeeds?

Usually in anime, when the main character leads a rebellion, it succeeds. But in Code Geass, I haven't really been sure whether Lelouch will succeed in making the Britannians leave Japan, especially since the rebellion was so weak at the beginning. So what do you think? Will Zero and his allies win by the end of the season? Or by the end of the rumored second season?

Then, what will Lelouch and Suzaku do? If Zero can free Japan, will he be able to get the rest of his coalition to attack Britannia, which is his true goal? Will they go along with him? And what if his identity is revealed?

And what about Suzaku? If it becomes clear that Zero is winning, what would Suzaku do, given that he is only supporting Britannia because they won the war? Suzaku fights for Britannia because he believes that supporting the victors, stopping the fighting, then hoping they are worthy rulers, is the best thing to do to preserve life. But, if Zero begins to have the advantage, how can Suzaku rationalize his fighting? If Suzaku believes that the Britannian Empire can change and be reformed, despite its cruel actions, why not the Black Knights and the rest of the rebellion?

Also, if Britannia must withdraw, Suzaku will, to put it mildly, not be very welcome under the new regime, especially if his role in the death of the Prime Minister is revealed. What would he do then?

Mm, someone at some point says something like "if Japan kept fighting, China would have jumped in, too, and there would have been a crazy three-way war." I'm guessing we'll see a little of that starting, and then Japan being restrengthened -- possibly under Lelouch.

However, my gut instinct is that the Rebellion will wind up allying with Euphie and she'll take over to Make The World A Better Place, granting autonomy to newly conquered regions (ie Japan, that place Cornelia was beating up, etc.) and ensuring a new Pax Britannia. This may just be because I watched too much Gundam, orz.

Well either Lelouch and co, build a new government or the others world forces ( europe, chinese etc...) will bring them down and the never-endless war will break up ^^U. I'd like to think that everyone will live their lives peacefully, but I'm not really sure they will >_> *got that bad feeling*

I am really confused at what exactly is Suzaku trying to do, so I have NO clue what would happen to him with the whole Zero winning...
Everytime he speaks of his...ehhh...whatever it is, to me it sounds like blah, blah, blah. Poor Suzaku, lol.

I love these what-if scenarios. I'm not sure if he can get his current Black Knights to attack Britannia, though. Although Zero himself believes (or seems to believe) in a greater goal, most of his team just wants to get Japan back. If he wins, he'll have to leave someone back in Japan anyway, because the Japanese people will want a hero to remain. (I admit I want to see LL trying to build a government and make a royal mess out of it, pun not intended, but it's somewhat unlikely) Those who believe in Zero and Zero's ideal might follow. Those who believe in Zero's cause might stay. It's funny that way. And his identity...is another can of worms. He'll generate a lot of distrust no matter what he says.

If Britannia withdraw...Lelouch would likely protect Suzaku, which would go badly for both of them, especially since Suzaku was 'hiding under Euphie's wings' before. It's a lose-lose situation and I doubt anyone would like it, but Suzaku is under a geas to live and LL is a very stubborn man. Though in the other case...if he's going to rationalize at all, it might be that retaliation brings retaliation, and Britannia is going to do worse things (it's not going to let its Sakuradite source go away so easily) so it'd be more prudent to have someone try telling them that the Japanese are not so defiant?

What I want? China joins in and thus Lelouch inadvertently started a World War. It would be fun.

The plot might possibly ease off on the rebellion scenario altogether, and have it running in background (as it is now two seasons, isn't it?) and focus more on the mystery of CC.

I'm starting to think the biggest enemy for Lulu's gonna be Suzaku.

I also want to know, why Suzaku looked so freaked out in episode 18 at the place where Lloyd and Schnizel-sama was looking at. Maybe he's (Kururugi family) connected to the power of Geass? And what about Kagura, what's her relationship with Suzaku?

I really want to know the 7 years gap of Lulu and Suzaku. But especially Suzaku. Like what happened to the rest of his family, what they're doing now and stuff.

*is getting off topic*

You know what I think it's gonna happen? Lelouch, with his strong influence, will start a huge propaganda against Britannia in a form of an all-out war. China and Japan = major rivals, with Japan joining forces with the OoBK. There will be shit hitting the fan. Suzaku may or may not eventually join forces with Zero (albeit very reluctant to do so), but he'll definitely side with Euphie.

Plus, C.C.'s people will have something to do with it.

Honestly? What will happen if everyone dies? =p
