Usually in anime, when the main character leads a rebellion, it succeeds. But in Code Geass, I haven't really been sure whether Lelouch will succeed in making the Britannians leave Japan, especially since the rebellion was so weak at the beginning. So what do you think? Will Zero and his allies win by the end of the season? Or by the end of the rumored second season?
Then, what will Lelouch and Suzaku do? If Zero can free Japan, will he be able to get the rest of his coalition to attack Britannia, which is his true goal? Will they go along with him? And what if his identity is revealed?
And what about Suzaku? If it becomes clear that Zero is winning, what would Suzaku do, given that he is only supporting Britannia because they won the war? Suzaku fights for Britannia because he believes that supporting the victors, stopping the fighting, then hoping they are worthy rulers, is the best thing to do to preserve life. But, if Zero begins to have the advantage, how can Suzaku rationalize his fighting? If Suzaku believes that the Britannian Empire can change and be reformed, despite its cruel actions, why not the Black Knights and the rest of the rebellion?
Also, if Britannia must withdraw, Suzaku will, to put it mildly, not be very welcome under the new regime, especially if his role in the death of the Prime Minister is revealed. What would he do then?

However, my gut instinct is that the Rebellion will wind up allying with Euphie and she'll take over to Make The World A Better Place, granting autonomy to newly conquered regions (ie Japan, that place Cornelia was beating up, etc.) and ensuring a new Pax Britannia. This may just be because I watched too much Gundam, orz.

But, so far, I'm wondering if Euphie will accept allying with the Rebellion, given that the part of the Rebellion that wants to destroy Britannia is Lelouch, and he doesn't seem to agree with Euphie on many things. Also, does Euphie have any power or authority on her own? So far it seems like she's shown will to change Britannia and a sense of justice, but it seems she just has the power that is given to her by the system or Cornelia, and lacks her own followers, except for Suzaku. Otherwise, she would then have to fight against Cornelia, who I don't see ever forgiving the Rebellion.

I think it definitely requires a major shift in the situation, like the revelation that the Emperor is about to destroy the world and let aliens invade so he can live forever or something WACKY (hey, that idea's not stranger than Eva yet). I see something like... Euphie and Lulu's paths gradually get close together, and then they get confronted with a common enemy. (Unless the series decides to surprise me by having Lulu win and Suzaku and Euphie die. Which I gueeeeeeeess is possible.) Cornelia will take some convincing, but eventually wind up dying or working alongside (if not necessarily with) Euphie and Lulu's uber team of justice.
Plus, it's a mecha series. When they have the power of MECHA RIGHTEOUSNESS on their side, the Black Knights plus Lancelot, Cornelia, Clow Reed, and that big dude could probably take on all of Britannia. :P

I can see it happening, but I actually hope that we aren't thrown any mystical type curveballs on that scale. Like for example, who is the common enemy? Their father, I would suppose. I guess except for Euphie, I would see no reason for Cornelia to betray the Empire. I would see her instead resolving to become Empress in order to change things for Euphie. Perhaps, if the Emperor somehow betrayed Euphie or showed he didn't care whether s/he lived or died because she was 'weak' (shades of the Lulu and Nunnaly situation), she would turn her back on the Empire.

Everytime he speaks of his...ehhh...whatever it is, to me it sounds like blah, blah, blah. Poor Suzaku, lol.

If Britannia withdraw...Lelouch would likely protect Suzaku, which would go badly for both of them, especially since Suzaku was 'hiding under Euphie's wings' before. It's a lose-lose situation and I doubt anyone would like it, but Suzaku is under a geas to live and LL is a very stubborn man. Though in the other case...if he's going to rationalize at all, it might be that retaliation brings retaliation, and Britannia is going to do worse things (it's not going to let its Sakuradite source go away so easily) so it'd be more prudent to have someone try telling them that the Japanese are not so defiant?
What I want? China joins in and thus Lelouch inadvertently started a World War. It would be fun.

I think, actually, Suzaku will leave with the Britannians if it comes to that. If he protects Suzaku, it'll be through some deal where he fakes his death or something.
Heh, that would be quite interesting. I would like to see China get involved, but the only thing is, I kind of doubt it'll happen because we don't see any characters who are Chinese (well, except for Mao), so it doesn't seem as if they'll get involved? Yet, I still don't see how Lelouch, even with all of Japan behind him, could hope to overthrow a much more powerful empire.

Fake death? That would be ironic. "Okay, Suzaku, I've done this before and I know how it works. You'll live pretty much a dead life from now on but hey at least you'll be safe! Safe! And you get school! Isn't that great? Who wants to change anything anyway?"
China is the most likely to get involved, though, among everyone else, by virtue of being pretty much the only one mentioned in context of the rebellion. XD LL might need to go countryhopping, trying to solicit allies. He's been using just the Artificial Charisma created by Zero's mystique right now, but if he really wants allies for the greater war, he'll have to be more active. I hoped to see this when I signed on and I still hope to see it, unlikely as it seems to be.

I also want to know, why Suzaku looked so freaked out in episode 18 at the place where Lloyd and Schnizel-sama was looking at. Maybe he's (Kururugi family) connected to the power of Geass? And what about Kagura, what's her relationship with Suzaku?
I really want to know the 7 years gap of Lulu and Suzaku. But especially Suzaku. Like what happened to the rest of his family, what they're doing now and stuff.

I think it's because CC used Geass on Suzaku, (indirectly) he saw something in that place.

I wonder if Euphie is going to be the one who tells Suzaku who Zero really is.

Suzaku gets freaked out so easily. He needs to go get his brain checked out.

Plus, C.C.'s people will have something to do with it.
Honestly? What will happen if everyone dies? =p

I almost feel like we should start up a Geass betting pool on various events. Like the odds of whether Lelouch will win the rebellion by ep 25, whether he'll survive the end of the series, etc.
