2 doujins: Dom Perignon & Oe, Sono Hikari wo Koso

Since everyone and their mom has been scanning doujins, I figured I'd join in.

Dom Pérignon

Artist: HP0.01
Pages: 38
Genre: Comedy, with some Schneizel being his rapey Schneizel self (Schneizel/Lelouch)
Rating: PG-13?
Content: Black Knights Host Club vs. Britannia Host Club. Yeah.
Download: Sendspace

Oe, Sono Hikari wo Koso

Artist: prt/Mayu
Pages: 39
Genre: Romance (Suzaku/Lelouch), angst(?)
Rating: PG-13 would be stretching it
Content: To be quite honest, I have no clue. This doujin is made of pretty art and talking, which is a problem when I don't understand Japanese. ¯\(°_0)/¯
Download: Sendspace

Comments and tips on how2scan would be greatly appreciated.

I'm so taking the first one. ♥ Thank you so much~ I had been searching for it.

I would give you tips, if I knew how to scan mine properly that is... what I always do screws the cover and back cover but keeps the spine untouched... so yeah.

Sendspace is a really unsafe place to upload things to in my opinion. I've gotten viruses from their site before.

D: depends on what scanner and how thick the book is
I have a scanner with a lid so with a doujinshi I simple open it and press it down on the glass, make sure the edges are within the boundaries and put the lid back up. Though this way you can easily mess up and have folds in the middle which can cause the text bubbles there to become blurred or nor scanned, for those pages I just do lid off and hold the book down on the glass, don't press too hard ofc =)

Afterward I use photoshop to re size and adjust the curves to get back the black ink look and remove any extra light that might have come in while scanning

thanks for sharing btw =)

another note: I've never tried to scan any of my big and thick anthology books though, I tried but I'm too scared to damage the book
taking snaps sucks also, I tried that as well lol

Thank you! :-)

Can't really give any tips on scanning.. the way I do it, I always break the spine and hold down the doujinshi manually so the edges don't get blurred. It's a lot of work, and the book IS battered afterwards, but I still do it...

And Britannian host club is too damn epic for words. <3

Thanks for sharing :)

I find that once you finished scanning and if you used medium pressure pushing down the book to the glass ... put something very heavy on it for a day or two then the crease should go away ^____^
