Uh, 'kay, first post here so please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong, BUT. I was wondering if anyone might know what the situation is concerning the possibility of the R2 sound episodes/drama CDs/whatnot being redone in English and sold somewhere? I may or may not have been devastated when my copy of Part 1 of the LE R2 DVDs arrived and they were nowhere to be found. The picture dramas were ALSO veerrry conspicuously missing, so...

Well. Anyone know if, Idk, they might be released in some obvious ploy for money super special awesome bonus package or sold separately or whatever? I haven't seen anyone mention anything along these lines in the comm and. Thought I might ask. /)_(\ They're just screwing us, aren't they?

Wait, what?

I had no idea that the DVDs had been released. I can't speak for the sound episodes, but I remember that the other content for the first season was released with the box sets/limited edition DVDs. I haven't seen the box sets released yet. What's up with that?

I guess we have to wait for a while.

I haven't heard anything, but my guess is they're not releasing the sound episodes. (Not sure if it's because of how the first season LE's sold, or just because they're not canon stories.) I'm more pissed about the lack of picture dramas. >.< From the looks of it, the dvds are being released in four parts, so I hope hope hope that they'll add the picture dramas on them soon.

No official word on the picture dramas or sound episodes yet. Bandai has reeeeally pared down their extras for R2, so I'm personally trying not to expect either of them to come out here, but I really, really hope I'm wrong D: (especially for the picture dramas! Those are important ....)

No sound episodes was bad enough. No picture dramas makes it worse. With the internet making things so easy to watch for free and with Code Geass already aired on Adult Swim in the USA, they really should have offered more bonuses to entice people to obtain a copy of the series legally. :(

Wait wait... they don't even have the picture dramas now? I knew about the lack of sound episodes (which made me fume big time) and other goodies season one had, but the picture dramas?

If it wasn't for the fact I love the series, I would avoid buying the DVDs all together because of the things they're just cheating us out of now.

I'm hoping they release the picture dramas in the next dvd. I got hte limited edition first set and yup as it was said only the manga came with it. At least with my Gundam 00 limited release I got 2 mangas. Mehhh...just release the picture dramas Bandai since I want to cosplay CC's empress outfit and the hareem outfit.

I might translate some of the sound episodes, or at least the ones I think are neatest, like Kaguya's Meeting With the Demon. And the oden shop one. I'm still hoping they'll get their shit together and do more picture dramas at least, but I've already translated all the ones from R2 that still needed it except for the one with the girltalk.

So, it looks like they're screwing us atm, but we can get by. :|

Bandai have been cutting back lately in terms of providing subtitle only releases (Lucky Star OVA and Kannagi), and rightly so too in these times; demand for dubs is low anyway.

In this case, they are cutting down on boxsets.
If there are only going to be 2 boxsets instead of 3 this time around, cutting the pictures dramas makes sense as they have to fit the content that would have made boxset 3 into the others. Each season has the same amount of episodes after all.

This is a guess though, a pre-order could appear for a part 3 at any time; though it's unlikely at this point now.

That's too bad, I know, it sucks

Let me ask one more question though...do DVDs have the audio commentary?

That's one extra that is supposed to still be on the discs, can you confirm that?

Thank you in advance. :)
