To be released September 22 are:
Code Geass Collection DVDs (2940 yen each)
Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion
SPECIAL EDITION　‘BLACK REBELLION’
and
Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2
SPECIAL EDITION　‘ZERO REQUIEM’

I think these are flashbacks of each whole season as told from Lelouch's perspective. Should be interesting. Anyway, the cover illustrations are new. Always nice to see Lelouch.

as much as i love his outfit/pose in the first one, his face looks kinda... wonky. are they both done by the same artist? his features look kinda different. wider eyes in the first (though idk if that's just to point out that he's aged or not...)

Actually, Special Edition Zero Requiem and Special Edition Black Rebellion are both old products from a couple of years ago.

They're just re-releasing them with shiny new covers at a reduced price. Thus, this is really nothing more than milking in its purest form.

As far as both compilation movies go, I think they're OK but not worth buying over either season of the actual series. There is no new animated footage, only some re-recorded lines with different inner monologues and such.

And well...I guess some of the editing choices are interesting, like finally using some of the previously ignored songs from the R2 soundtrack (ie: Lullaby of M), but that's all.

The only thing that would truly make this re-release worth checking out is if they happen to include a new trailer for Code Geass Gaiden, but I fully expect something like that to be leaked with hours or days anyway.
