One season

So we all know that Geass was intended to be one season but because of its popularity, got stretched to two. Now here is the question:

How do you think Code Geass would have ended if it were only one season?

Me.... I have NO IDEA. Haha. I'm interested in what ideas others might have though. .^^ Personally, I didn't really see the series ending (well) in 26 episodes however many episodes it was intedned to be. With all that was going on, I think it would have been too short to have a nice conclusion with only one season, so I'm really glad a second season has been announced.

No, from 5 april jast started series "Darker Then Black". After that Code Geass Two Season are begining;)

I'd see it ending with something cheap and dark, like Lulu's Geass becoming super powerful and he manages to Geass the whole world at once or something like that.

I don't recall any official word that it was going to be one single season. Besides, they have too much material for it to have ended properly in 26 episodes only.

No clue about how it'd have ended in 26 eps, but I think it'd probably feel like a huge cop-out to squeeze a conclusion in 2-3 eps. With how it's been developing so far, I'm glad there's a second season (I'm usually not fond of those). So...yup.

It's hard to say; I think CG could've ended all right if there had only been one season, but rumors of a second season started a long time ago, so I think the series has changed significantly from what it would've been had it only been one season long--the pacing is good, but the story wouldn't have so many offshoots (and we'd know more about C.C., dangit!). I have the feeling that the key components of the plot haven't changed, though, and I wonder if the ending we'll eventually get will be all that different from what we would've gotten. For some reason, I think a good number of the characters would've died in only one season, with Lulu and Suzaku being responsible and finally making out up before one or both of them died. The same may be true for the actual ending ... *I hope not, though ;_;*

Personally, I think that had they tried to end it in 26 episodes, somewhere it would have been rushed and would have ended up making little sense at all or ruining what the series had set up.

Lelouch probably would have died. i get hints that he should have died (since he mentions that he doesn't believe he will be with nunally forever and needs a knight to replace him, thinking of suzaku)

dunno, my own theory.

Suzaku might have died as well.... dunno though.

Nina nukes Zero, becomes new Euphemia.

All is right in the world.

Well,I'd suspect Lelouch to ascend the throne via Geass powers or something...or finding his true love then doing a melodramatic reenactment of the end of the Hunchback of Notre Dame[book].

Actually I'm really clueless.I'm just happy that there's another season of Code Geass goodness!^^

Likely seize the throne while finding his true love in some corny way.
Or finding his true love and then doing a very melodramtic reenactment of the end of the Hunchback of Notre Dame[book].

I really don't know,I'm just happy for another season of Code Geass goodness!

I'm pretty sure it could have ended in one season and even been concluded in a way that went well, but to do that would mean throwing out a lot of the subplots along the way and focusing on the uber-plot. Too many of the episodes were filler and simply expanded on subplots that aren't important (or even related) to the main story, and I'm excluding the recap episodes.

I do admit being a little curious about how the story would have been wrapped up if the continuation/conclusion of Code Geass hadn't come in the form of a second TV season but as a 90-minute feature film instead.

Lelouch blows shit up, hijacks the Avalon to Britannia. Strolls into the palace.

Series ends without any real resolution, just an expectation that Lelouch will explode something.

I think sunrise found out that they could have a 2nd season before they made an offical announcement, thats why they opened up so many sub-plots... but I always thought it could have ended with Lulu and Suzaku killing each other for a better world.

Hmm... Lulu and Suzaku kills each other at the last episode with a bang?

Lol.

i actually remember rading from [livejournal.com profile] defade's journal that CG was meant to be 50 something episodes, but coz they couldn't get the time slot they wanted, they had to change everything for it to fit into a one season slot .___.

that aside, i think it would have ended with something vague. like, some major character just died, and lelouch goes "HOKAY! NOW IMMA GONNA GO FOR ME DADDY!!" or something.

Hmm, I heard Code Geass was intended to be two season from the start so, no @ it getting two season due to being popularrrr. :/

If Code Geass ended at season one, more characters would have been killed off. That's all I'm getting.

I don't think that's the case? It was planned as a 50-er, and then gets cut into half due to rescheduling (was meant to be a Sat 6 program, though we may have been lucky : Lelouch was originally in Suzaku's position). I think they WERE doing the early episodes with 'we may have to final-end it at 25' in mind, but then it gets really popular and there's no question that it'll get to continue.

If it ends in one season? I have no a clue. I've been saying since Episode 6 that at the rate it's going, I have no idea how Season 1-Final Conclusion would be. I still have no idea...considering they said this IS going to be a success story. If Lelouch fails, that's easy to imagine. If he succeeds? 25 is nearly impossible.

Everybody gets blown up, C.C reflects on things while gorging on pizza with a family of Cheese-kuns.

Elsewhere, Orange-kun orders Domino's.

Seriously, I was hoping for an ending like that.
