You read my thoughts. I was thinking about that too. Actually, that IS my theory.
C.C. is a fallen angel and maybe in the past, when she was still human, she... killed someone very important to a country that time(for example, she killed a king). And maybe C.C. is a famous person in history for that.
Why doesn't she remember anything? I think that's because the Britannian army captured her and used her as some experiment (?), perhaps her memories were erased. *deep thoughts*
And how she knows Marianne? Erm... The person, who C.C. killed, had some connection with her.
