Yeah, I'm kinda iffy on Lloyd, I liked how he had a kinda of British accent since he's a... Count/Duke? I forget what... but I kinda... thought his voice would sound more... "gross". Definitely not the correct term to use but it would've been nice if it was an over exaggerated slightly higher pitched...

I think the dub sounds pretty good from those clips. But Johnny Yong Bosch definitely doesn't give off the same level of command in his voice as Jun Fukuyama that's for sure.

I don't think it's bad. I like Johnny Yong Bosch, but it's difficult not to imagine Guy Cecil from Tales of the Abyss when I hear his voice. I kind of like Suzaku's voice, to be honest the only one I cannot stand is Lloyd's, and that's just because it sounds like Liam O'Brien's Dist (from TotA again) voice, and I despised it there as well. I generally like his voice work, though.

Actually, I just wish there'd be some fresh voice actors, because right now I just hear the same voices over and over. Just Lelouch and Suzaku's voice actors are pretty much in every damn thing out there right now. Not to say they're bad, because they aren't, I just wish there was a bit more variety.

I agree with you. I don't watch dubbed anime any more, but I'm still very familiar with all of these actors, and its difficult not to associate them with their previous works. Some fresh talent would be great!

Suzaku's VA is definitely growing on me. I thought he did a pretty good job.

Lelouch's could still use some work. He still doesn't sound suave/sophisticated~~/fabulous~~ enough. "Now, all of you...DIE!", I thought was carried through pretty damn well, though. A bit different from what I'm used to in the Japanese version (the dub sounded more evil than imperious), but still effective. I'll be anxious to hear more of his Zero voice.

LLOYD! WHAT DID THEY DO TO LLOYD?! Why is it that dubbers equate "creepy" or "odd" with "British"?

lol! I totally agree I thought his voice would be more... yeah creepy, I guess they gave him a British accent since he's a Duke/Count.

On the note of him being British, shouldn't they technically ALL have British accents because they all (at some point in history) came from Britain? Whenever I read the manga, I always imaged them all with ~~fabulous~~ British accents.

Not a fan of Cecile. Lloyd could be very interesting. I like Suzaku's VA, and Lelouch is slowly growing on me. It can't compare to the Japanese dub, but honestly, I'm impressed so far. :b Looking forward to the full dubbed episode this weekend.

It's different, but I like it a lot!

Still "meh" on Lelouch and Suzaku's VA's. I'm sure they'll grow on me eventually, though.

You know...I've never cared about Japanese voice acting versus US voice acting, but NO ONE IS FABULOUS ENOUGH. I am so disappointed. Sad panda tiem guys.

Okay, I like Lloyd's English voice a lot better than his Japanese.

I really dig Suzaku's voice for whatever reason. I guess it's because I figured he'd sound like that in the dub, so I'm not disappointed.

Johnny as Lelouch still kinda bothers me, but I'm sure after a few episodes I'll be used to it and wont notice anymore. I just don't tend to like Johnny regardless -- and meeting him in person just made me want to punch him in the throat (though that had less to do with him being a voice actor and more to do with him being a douche).

Lloyd's voice is awesome, but it totally ruins crack!Lloyd for me. :( Cecile's voice is spot-on though.

I would also like to note that Lloyd's voice actor -- Liam O'Brien -- was Illidan Stormrage in World of Warcraft (for all of you WoW nerds like I am).

I'm usually the first to piss and moan about dubs, so what I say next is a huge compliment LOL. Suzie Q's VA isn't so bad. At least, it's very easily stomached, so I don't mind it.

Anything that makes me laugh that much earns some serious respect!

Not sure what to make of everyone elses. They're certainly not terrible although Lelouch's voice makes me laugh for some reason, I'm not sure I can take it seriously =X

Oh well it's not like I ever watch really dubs (unless they're airing on the UK anime channel and I'm dozing on the sofa xD) I just like to check them out for fun. If this did ever air in the UK (har) I maybe would watch a bit of it, just for Lloyd xD seriously.

Lelouch's is pretty good, really. Suzaku ... idk, it just doesn't sit well with me-- the VA's voice seems too deep for him, I guess.

And as for Lloyd, well.

He'd make a great YGO villain?

I agree that new voice actors need to be used, too.
I can list at least three roles for pretty much everyone in this off the top of my head, without challenge. Fresh blood would be nice to see, but I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I'm glad Geass is getting done in english. Just showin' that they care, I think.

Johnny's definitely not as commanding as the Japanese seiyuu, but still a lot better than it could have been. Yuri's pretty good too, though I wish he had a bit more... I dunno, unf into his voice during that scene.

I'm just sad that there's no, "YESSU, MAI ROORDO" there. ;_;

I hope "Happily, Your Highness" was for that scene only, or else I'll cry. It just sounds awkward.

Hmm...The second clip wasn't the best to show what Yuri can do, though I just really love that scene anyway! Lloyd...BAHAHA British accents always sound so forced in American dubs, but since it's CG the slightly ridiculous aspect is quite fitting ♥
In the UK, I hope Anime Central gets its act together and shows this before the year 2015.
