Code Geass R2 ep 13 (Spoilers)

I'm guessing that Orange's anti-Geass thingie-ma-bob basically undoes the affects of Geass. I remember that Lelouch couldn't use Geass twice on a subject but we see him tell Shirley to live after she was shot and her eyes get that glossy-red outline showing that the Geass "worked" on her.

Is this a mistake or did Orange fully take away Lelouch's use of Geass on her? If that's the case, think of all the benefits Lelouch can reap with Orange's ability--he'd be able to reuse Geass if he ever wanted to give someone a different order!

In Turn 12, we saw that when Orange used the Geass Canceler, Shirley's neurons were rewired to how they were pre-geass, thus letting her be geassed again.

So no, that's not a mistake, and yes, if Lelouch and Orange worked together as a team like that, Lelouch could probably geass someone over and over and over again.

I think that was on purpose. It's too big of a mistake to make. Lelouch will definitely be having the upper hand now that Jeremiah is on his side with the Geass Canceller. :3 Although, I kind of can't imagine V.V. not having predicted this situation in some way.

What I really want to know is why neither Lelouch nor Suzaku really reacted to Shirley's um, IMA JUMP OFF THE CLIFF NOW LOL stunt. They all pretty much just laughed it off? Seriously, wtf. D8

I was thinking the same thing. Since Shirley's brain like "rewired" itself when the Geass canceler was used on her, and then "wired" again (I think) when Lelouch tried to Geass her again, it looks like the Geass canceler also fixes the brain damage or whatever caused by getting Geassed in the first place.

Nifty!

With the likelihood of a Stroke increasing by 45% each time.

While I like Lelouch and support his side (OotBK FTW!), that's a terrifying thought. But at the same time, it seems a bit of a cop out. Lelouch's inability to Geass someone more than once was an interesting obstacle to see him overcome because it meant he had to be more cautious with when and how he used his Geass. It also meant he had to rely more on tactics than just his Geass alone. Adding Orange's Canceller into the mix might take that away.

Then again... It would be amusing to see Lelouch geass someone over... and over... and over...

It does seem like a pretty powerful combination, However Lelouch's Geass still requires eye contact. And neither is useful to somebody like V.V or C.C. (looks like she was able to reverse Geass effects anyway) or against somebody in a knightmare frame. If somebody like Mao came along again though Orange would have the upper hand.

I was wondering about this too. But I figure the both of them are pretty messed up themselves, so maybe they "understood". Or they didn't want to rile her up thinking she'd try it again.

But once the geass is cancelled, the previous effect will be gone too. So it's quite interesting to see people and their geass' clash.

I was thinking the same thing D: They're just sitting there talking, LIKE NOTHING FREAKING HAPPENED. Hello!? She just tried to jump off a balcony!! Shouldn't you be taking her to the hospital!? For psych evaluation!? Instead no, they sit and reminisce >_>

Maybe, but if he could, there would probably some other limit to it.

Maybe he could...stack up commands?XD

Of course, that would imply that he knows exactly how things are going to go.

while I'm loving the discussion going on here....

when lelouch tried to geass someone twice in the past, didn't their eyes turn red then too?

And so does anyone think Shirley survived? She was ordered not to die, and while we've seen that the live long and prosper order works just fine on Suzaku against all odds, maybe not dying was beyond geass power? I suggest this because Shirley doesn't appear to be in the opening credits, and when she's in the ending credits she's shown as an angel...in a pose very reminiscent of Kotori artwork from Clamp's X.

the entire battle would probably consist of geass-users having staring contests. O_O last one ungeassed wins.

[identity profile] rurushur.livejournal.com 2008-07-07 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Aha. But a whole bunch of characters have been shown as angels. Anya, Cornelia, Euphie(Well shes actually dead -_-), Kallen looks like an archangel in the 1st ED and well, Anya :D.

Just you wait. R3 = Cyborg Shirley Arc.

Damn! lol at the begining of the episode I was like, damn I wish they would kill her off already... but then by the end of the damn episode I felt bad when they really did WTF!? >,< and the way they did it is kinda wrong. Rolo in a fucking fit of jelousy over lulu and nannaly!. He maybe emotionaly stunted and craving attention but that little brat has to go.

I'm glad shirly kinda talked to suzaku though...it kinda opened his eyes abit, even if he still hates lulu for killing the pinkett. if shirly can forgive lulu for killing her father (not directly) then suzaku can at least talk to lulu (for real, not the crappy beat around the bush act they are putting on) civily, then some stuff can be resolved.

I still hate the little back stabber though -_-. The whole Orange thing had me laughing me ass off and totally shocked! WTH! orange-kun was one of Marianne's guards! and he's actully fighting for britannia (obssessed) because he failed to protect her O,O. so now that he knows lulu's reasons I wonder if he'll really be loyal to him... having a geass canceller could be very very handy, when fighting against the people who created the damn thing.

now....for someone so lanky suzu must be toned as hell to be able to pull both lulu and shirly up from that ledge O,O, but i'm suprised he didn't pull another random spin kick ( HI YA!) in this episode just cause XD.

&&&&&& now for a random suzu/lulu fangirl moment.... &&&&&&

OMG HE DID NOT SAY WHAT I THOUGHT HE SAID O,O

SUZU: if lelouch were on top we'd both be falling..

LULU: if your gonna say that then save me before I fall.

(SWOON!)

I would LOVE to see that XDDDDD

And so does anyone think Shirley survived? She was ordered not to die

But Geass can not override something that goes against the law of nature. Like inevitable death. She's lost TOO MUCH blood to live.
