I'm guessing that Orange's anti-Geass thingie-ma-bob basically undoes the affects of Geass. I remember that Lelouch couldn't use Geass twice on a subject but we see him tell Shirley to live after she was shot and her eyes get that glossy-red outline showing that the Geass "worked" on her.
Is this a mistake or did Orange fully take away Lelouch's use of Geass on her? If that's the case, think of all the benefits Lelouch can reap with Orange's ability--he'd be able to reuse Geass if he ever wanted to give someone a different order!

when lelouch tried to geass someone twice in the past, didn't their eyes turn red then too?
And so does anyone think Shirley survived? She was ordered not to die, and while we've seen that the live long and prosper order works just fine on Suzaku against all odds, maybe not dying was beyond geass power? I suggest this because Shirley doesn't appear to be in the opening credits, and when she's in the ending credits she's shown as an angel...in a pose very reminiscent of Kotori artwork from Clamp's X.

Episode 3 of the first series if you're interested in looking. I just watched to be sure and they don't.

But Geass can not override something that goes against the law of nature. Like inevitable death. She's lost TOO MUCH blood to live.
