Hullo, all. Newcomer here. Just thought that for my first post I'd put up something interesting I found while looking through the 'Net.

In Japan, fans sometimes indulge themselves in creating MADs. They're just like AMVs, except for the fact that they can function as anime openings on their own, with credits and all.

That's hilarious; the Crosswise opening is better than the new official OP; Sunrise should hire this guy (I am assuming guy) posthaste! XD Pretty damn good stuff.

Crosswise is better than either of the original openings. Not certain if that says more about Crosswise or the originals.

Oh, I loved these!! My favorite was "cross wise," as well. The faux WS parts were surperb and especially flattering for the chess scene. *_* The "Colors of the Heart" OP had some really good moments, too.

Sorry, but what does MAD stand for? I've never heard that acronym. ^^;

"MAD" isn't an acronym for something--it's simply the term that Japanese anime fans use for works like these. Videos like the above are dubbed "MAD movies," while remixed and/or rearranged music pieces (like what OCRemix (http://www.ocremix.org) does) are called "MAD music."

I seriously like the "Glorious", and "Colors of the Heart" videos.

GAH, I hate the current "2nd opening" It's horrible. This is my opinion, but that singer has a whiny voice. The Colors song was by far the best that could ever be a Code Geass song. Why can't it be an anime that keeps the same song, but changes the animation like it did the first time it changed the opening sequence!!
