So, Lelouch

Spoilars for turn 19.

Hi guys. I know, I know, don't worry, I'll shut up in liek, two sex. I just wanted to say a few things about this weeks episode.

So I was sitting in the corner of despair, my legs neatly tucked up against my body, and my chin resting ruefully my knees. Thoughts of suicide ran rampant in my meloncholic throughts. Then suddenly, the salty stream of never ending tears ceased for a split second. I bobbed my head in the air, my eyes widening, green iries clashing strongly with the red that was apparent in the whites, and parted my dry lips to speak, easing my frozen tongue into motion. "What the hell?" I light grimace formed on my tear streaked face.

Well, I found Lelouch's behavior in this turn strange. Why do I say this? Well, think about it.

Lulu haet Rolo.

You're all, "Sooooo?"

So why wasn't he strangling Rolo to death when he stopped him from committing suicide?

I mean, if I was Lelouch (already hating on Rolo and stuff) I would be pissed. Lelouch had no heart for him. He hated him more than everyone besides his father, because he's that little son of a bitch that replaced Nunnally and killed Shirley. Why was he all, "No Rolo, cut it out! Stop using your Geass! DDDDD:>"

It makes no sense.

"Because Nii-san is a liar..."

Why wasn't Lelouch all, "NO YOU MOTHERFUCKER, I HATE YOUR CARAMEL GUTS. >:D"

Didn't he feel that way since turn two?

What took place in Lelouch's heart that could make him kind to the person he hated most? He even buried Rolo. That's like... huge. It takes time, effot (especially for Lelouch, that pansy) and love for the person who died to do something like that. Why did he do such a thing for him? Our lovely, yandere, brothercon shota with feminine thighs. Why?

And why did Lelouch seem to be not-so-psycho over Nunnally? I throught he was going to turn to an unredeemable demon king state -- every single thing he had is gone --, and in the back of your mind, so did you. Geez, he was more upset over Shirley.

Really, I'm a HUUUGEEEE Rolo fag, and it delighted me through the streaming tears that Lelouch would show such love for him. But he didn't have one goddamn motive to. What's up? Has his insanity driven him to a new level? Did he finally see how it was through Rolo's eyes? That desperate need?

Either way, I'm still happy that he showed compassion and forgivness. Rolo, my baby, rest in peace. Thanks Sunrise for letting the Rolo haters down. C:

Now to massacre Sunrise Studios, because no matter what, Rolo's death does not sit well with me at all.

K, Stfu'ing.

I find that it is very in character of Lelouch in this episode. Remember, no matter how cold heart and cruel Lelouch's heart can be touched. No matter how Lelouch is resolved in getting isolated he is someone that still yearns for someone to trust and help him unconditionally. Like in episode 18, even though he knew that Guilford thought that he was saving Cornellia, Lelouch was completely taken aback that the man saved him and in his last words told him to live on desperately. This time it was Rolo. Even after he went crazy on the kid, Rolo still came back on his own free will to save Lelouch.

Situations where the other parties genuinely tries to help Lelouch unconditionally tends to break down his barriers and he ends up giving second chances (or in the case of Suzaku 3 chances). That is way in Rolo's final moments Lelouch gave him a little white lie (probably out of debt and pity) so he could die contently.

Lelouch did go completely psycho over Nunnally. Remember that he was ranting to Todou and company to go find Nunnally and to hell with anyone else. Saying stuff like that doesn't really present high moral to his army. -_- And then right after that his eyes became completely dead. I find that even more devastating reaction from him. At least with Shirley he had rage going for him. And even though it was the wrong way for him to go about it he was still had willpower and was moving forward. With Nunnally he ended up completely devastated and was just sitting around doing nothing cause he had lost all of his willpower to fight since Nunnally was practically 80% of why he fought.

And we all know that what Lelouch hates is not being about to move forward and just standing still being unable to change anything is like a slow death to him.

I agree with this comment... Actually, I was surprised by this thread, because Lelouch's actions in the episode didn't seem OOC at all to me. It would have been very cruel to tell Rolo that he hates him and tried to kill him after while he was already dying. It's one of those contradictions; Zero is cruel, but Lelouch can actually be really gentle and caring and in that moment, he was just Lelouch, just like Rolo was Lelouch Lamperouge's brother and not Lelouch vi Britannia's. T_T And I mean... Rolo DID save Lelouch after all, he stood by his side while everyone else had deserted him.
