Episode 15 Official Site Summary + mininews

- The Official Site has released its summary of Episode 15, Kassai no Mao. Translation :

Episode 15 : Mao of the Applause

C.C. states that she will break off her contract with Lelouch and go back to Mao. Not listening to his objections, she left [Lelouch's] side. C.C. knows that Mao's objective is her, and decides to meet him again to take responsibility. At the appointed amusement park, she points a gun at him, but cannot pull the trigger. At the same time, in order to save C.C., Lelouch ponders how to fight an opponent who can read his every thought.

- In unrelated news that probably won't affect any of us here but is interesting to know anyway, Biglobe has put up Code Geass blog design templates for its users. There is the 'general series poster' we're used to seeing, one of Lelouch, one of the Lancelot, and one of...*drums roll*...Orange! The last one strikes me as awesome news, for some reason.

I have no doubt Lelouch will figure out how to deal with Mao because it's Lelouch and stories are boringly predictable that way; it's more like....they have created Mao as a device through whom they can say something about CC's character and past and I don't really like that sort of thing, unless they let him grow beyond that.

I am still much disturbed by his lack of presence in OP and ED. Does that mean no Orenji until the next OP illust change? BLASPHEMY. But we know not Sunrise's office address, thus.

Of course he will, I just have no idea if he'd find a way to completely neutralize Mao's Geass during 15-16, or if he'd just jury-rig a plan that saves CC and, for Sunrise, allows things to more or less remain as they are (again). I don't mind the character exposition that much, though, it's sorta expected from anime. Unless he stays Villaina Generica, in which case, it's boring. They'd need to pull off some stellar development otherwise, in which case, it'd be interesting to see regardless.

I don't think we will get to see him again for a while...but I will go on hoping! :)

I don't think Lelouch needs to save CC really, though it sounds more about saving himself (shock! XD) and getting his sponser back. After all, without CC he'd have been dead at least twice over by now. CC's already pointed a gun at Mao and not fired on him; it will be interesting to see her regret, but not if it's all about her and nothing for Mao.

Since when is anything in Lelouch's to-do list not about saving himself? XD But everything considering, it'd probably be obvious that Mao is Not Good For Her, too.

They need to go over why and how he went psycho anyway, and why his Geass always activates. At least he's in the OP montage?

Lol, I think *she's* not good for Mao! CC is as much about using people to complete her agenda as Lelouch is (that's a reason I don't pair up either of them with anyone; they're both far too self centred). Yes, an appearance in the OP montage surely means a bit of screentime. :) And damn them, they have Schneizel in there again and we *still* haven't met him!

No doubt she's not. XD She's probably most of the reason he's so unstable, since it seems she's almost his surrogate parent or something. (He was very young, IIRC, in the 11 flashback? Or is that some other victim of hers?) C.C. as your mother does not good combination make. But he's probably not good for her psyche, since she is fragileinside!and all, even though it's probably the fault of Geass.

Rumors say Schneizel-niisama pops up very soon. I am honestly very much looking forward to when that 'very soon' is. :3 La Britannias FTW.

A boy of Chinese descent holding the power of Geass suddenly appears before Lelouch. 11 years ago when he was six, he met CC; his potential (innate quality, nature, capacity) was seen and he was given the power of Geass. Using Shirley as his medium, he approaches Lelouch. The power of Geass Mao holds seems to differ from Lelouch's power, (which can) only be used once on one person and (where) you have to look into the other party's eye. Can Lelouch win against Mao's apparently invincible Geass?

(I also did Scneizel's! XD I love the Brittanian Royals because they're all so crazy! XD)

So it seems Mao was 6. :)

C.C. and small children. She was seen eyeing LL when he was...er, ten, wasn't it? XD Do judgements of potential need to be done when really young or something like that? Maybe that particular capacity involves "being really messed up in the head". XD It's the one aspect LL and Mao can both claim to having.

(All except Euphie and Nanaly. Though E's insistence on going against the tide and N's brother complex might qualify)

Nunally is not as bad as some Niiiiiisama characters, but she's pretty bad. :D I would like to know who the first Princess is. If Cornelia is second and Euphemia is third...maybe one of those women seated at the state funeral; some of those women may have been Consorts of the Emperor too.

Yeah, she was eyeing up Lelouch when he was young too; my assumption about Mao initially was that he wanted to get back at CC through Lelouch and that he'd walked away from her, that he was messing with her. Now I think it seems to be that she abandoned him and he wants her attention a lot.

Hahaha. Oh wait. LL vs. Mao : The Battle Of The Mother-Complexes? (You so know LL has Mother Complex. On top of everything else)

I normally really haaaaaaaaate the extreme Oniichan characters, they're so desperately unreal---especially when their brothers are really just losers. Nanaly's brother complex is pretty bad, but I still find her cute, so. :D

I want a complete Britannia family tree. But they are so not giving us one. D: And the First Prince, I'd like to know more about him too. We don't even have a name.

Yup, he is just First Prince. :( He needs a name!

Lelouch totally has a mother complex. You know...I've wondered if Schneizel and Cornelia *did* have anything to do with his Mother's death (unless the hit went wrong and got the wrong target) - what would they have to gain? She was a consort, not in the race for the succession. Sure she was a commoner, but what would that be to them except a matter for snidey gossip? ...Clovis only said they would *know* something about it after all. He didn't say they did it. God, that would be ironic after all this! XD

The only Brother complex character I've liked was Silvia in Sousei No Aquairion - partly this was because she wasn't your big eyes small mouth 'traditional' heroine, and partly because she was just so blantantly obsessed with her niisama and openly jealous of his crush on someone else! XD And it was funny!

I actually didn't think Cornelia had anything to do with it, the moment we saw her. She's way too honorable and family-loving for that kind of thing. Judgement on Schneizel is reserved until we finally meet him, and they'd better hurry it up. >:[ I think it's said that Clovis really honestly liked kid!Lulu, too, oh the irony. XD A nice twist, IMO, would be that Marianne was not the perfect woman Lulu thinks she was, after all, and actually deserved the drastic measures she got. Sure she looked nice and kind, but so does Lulu!

Ohohoho. I should pick up Sousei no Aquarion, if only to see her. (Well-done sibling complexes is a personal moe of mine. Emphasis on well-done) XD The problem with traditional oniichan girls, imo, is the incessant ONIICHAAAAN NIISAMAAA ANIIIII and how they have the whole 'my oniichan is perfect and can do no wrong' thing, it's totally wish fulfillment and they're completely vapid of personality otherwise wtf. XD

Little Clovis was an awesome artist too, as he must have been quite young when he painted that portrait. :) Yes, I am sure Marianne was not all sweetness; she was married to the Emperor after all (and judging by his reaction to her death, she wasn't one of those sweet and cute 'my love is redeeming you' types either!) I think Lulu gets most of his charming personality from Daddy though. XD

Silvia is great. She's definitely not the typical niichan sister. :)

He probably saw Lulu last when he was 16-17, and that seemed like it was painted before. It's hard to judge paintings in what is, after all, a drawing, but it seems like he's nicely talented. :D I sort of figure Marianne is a political marriage...she's possible French (hence the names), where there's no longer any nobility. And if she is, I'm sort of hoping she's actually a failed tigress instead of a poor victimized sheep. More interesting. :D Lulu, of course, totally takes after his father. Right down to the signature 'looks down from above' act. Not that he would admit it at this age.

Well, in those little chart things published in that Zenryokyu fan book, Clovis gets a 10 for art. :D (It's his highest ranked ability - he gets a 4 for brains...:( Poor Clovis! XD)

I have yet to get the Zenryoku fanbook. :/ My work has been hectic lately, there's hardly ever a free weekend for bookshopping.

In a perfect happy AU, Clovis would be a famous artist. Canon is such a not happy place to be.

Sadly, he is created for the sole purpose of explaining Geass.;_; He's crazy(in a good way) and as long as he doesn't do his handclap thing, I find him amusing. (though not as much as Orange-kun. He's become a legend now.XD) I lol'd when he nearly jumped out of the window when he saw CC.

I think Jeremiah kun *would* have jumped out of the window to get at Lelouch though! Mao is crazy, but not as crazy as Orange kun! ^-^
