Rejection?

OK I think we can all agree that Diethard was a snooty backstabbing little bastard but I've got to put this out because its been on my mind since I saw the episode and I can't help but laugh every time it comes up...

Diethard of course as you saw has some kind of odd obsession with geass as he ask Lelouche to geass him right before he dies, which of course makes no sense because he's about to die and theres no eason what so ever for him to order Diethard to do something.

but heres the kicker for me...

DIETHARD LOOKS LIKE HE JUST GOT REJECTED BY THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE!  LIKE HE'S DIEING AND HIS REASON FOR LIVING WAS JUST RIPPED FROM HIM BRUTALY! XD   of course lelouche's words being ( your not even worth using a geass for)

its all so anti climatic and pathetic... lol

He's a fanboy and a reporter. He wanted to investigate everything, be close to the major players, know the story, and to be in the thick of it. Once he could no longer be close to Lelouch/Zero, he switched and got close to Schniezel. The one major part of the story he never experienced was being geass-ed (gay-assed?) and he just had to have it. >.>

DENIED!

Bull; Diet Hard is unbelievably gay ass. Or at least his chin is.

He can wipe his nose and his ass at the same time with a chin like that.

He never really was WITH lulu. Diethard just loves history and filming shit so he follows interesting people around... He's not the loyal really.

I was just..expecting for him and Lelouch to have a back-up plan going on. They had that visual exchange in the previous episode..

Now, for Diethard's good end.

WIN.

I think that visual exchange in the previous episode was Lelouch telling Diethard "YOU'RE DEAD BITCH" with his eyes. ;)

I thought that more in the previous episode than the two of them having something planned and it being a "Good, you're in place and know what to do" look. It would have felt like a stretch that they managed to plot something together while Schneizel was in hiding with Diethard and the rest while Lelouch was also MIA.

*snerks at Diethard's happy smile*

Me too. I wanted something extreme to happen and Schneizel getting screwed over bad. But...well, no loss, really.

I adored Diethard. And I absolutely loved his death. He died like a dog! SO DENIED. SO REJECTED. XD

That was the best death in Code Geass. The very best.

That was the best death in Code Geass. The very best.

I'm sure Rolo and Euphemia would like to have a word with you. as would Clovis

I think Shirley's death was absolute win.

Y'know, even though he was a backstabbing bastard, Diethard was the one character who I could never bring myself to hate. I just thought he was awesome all the way through.
I also agree with [livejournal.com profile] snowdevil_crow - I liked his death. I feel his time had come, dying was really the only option for him. And how he died, ah, that was great too. Everything about his death seemed fitting. XD

If it's one thing they can do, it's great death scenes. Which is why Cornelia's thankfully still alive.
