It's official. Code Geass has been licensed by Bandai.

7 days away from 24 and 25 too!! .T________T Not like we didn't see it coming.... Wonder if this will affect subbing. Probably not, but still.


EDIT: From ANN, "Bandai Entertainment announced its North American acquisition of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, which is confirmed for an American television broadcast during 2008."

I just checked Shinsen and their torrents are all gone. ;-;

But in regards to Johnny Young Bosch doing a Geass character's voice. He made Ichigo from Bleach sound like a WIMP so imagine what he'd do to someone like Lelouch or Suzaku. D:

Oh yeah, Canadian fans better heed my words very well. If Code Geass ends up on the Cartoon Network in the states, you all know it'll be up showing on YTV the next year. So unless they decide to show it late at night like they did with Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, it'll be edited anyway.

I'll be buying the DVD's when it comes out. ^_^ I'm just glad that there will be a second season. ^^;;

Even if Shinsen isn't subbing anymore, GG is, I'm almost 100% sure, as they've stated at one point or another that they'd continue to sub even if Geass got licensed.

Besides, Bandai has only licensed the first season as of yet, so they probably won't license season two until they've either finished dubbing season one or until they've gotten a good number of the DVDs out and it's aired on television, so we're basically fine in that respect.

I'm a bit suprised anyone in America would license anime that has a terrorist organisation as 'heroes', US pwned by England and the bad guys governing what can be seen as the current US.
