Where do you buy your figures? =D

Hi, CG comm! I was browsing around, and I saw tags for figures. And then I realized that most here share the grief of the lack of male figures. XD I was wondering if anyone could share where they buy their figures? Or at least, point out series that have male figures included. (I get tired of looking up my favorite series, only to find out that they only have all the female characters. >:O)

http://www.hlj.com/index.html has current figures.
for others, ebay is a good place to search.

yesasia also has some but prices seem high to me.

browse through the community 'selling' tags and you'll see quite a few members that may have figures still for sale.

I buy mine from www.toyslogic.com, pretty good, up to date :D lowest prices on preorders

As mentioned above, best bet is HLJ because they specialize in figurines. Lately import game stores such as Play Asia and NCS have started carrying figurines/toys/etc in addition to their games, but the selections are somewhat limited and they sell out quickly.

Most manufacturers only produce figurines of female characters because the buyers have traditionally been male fanboys. You get male characters in gashapon sets, but very rarely stand-alone large figurines, so I'd advise looking up the smaller gashapon type stuff.

HLJ is good. I tend to use eBay for anything that comes blindboxed, though, because I like to buy them in sets even if it means paying more. (Mainly ever since I heard a horror story from a friend who bought a sealed box of ten - five were the same character. D:) Play-Asia is alright, but they sell out quickly and don't restock, so you have to preorder. Depending on where you live, there might also be online stores specifically catering for your area.

If you don't mind buying privately off other people, you could always try [livejournal.com profile] garagesalejapan.

And yeah, the lack of male figures is just a target audience thing, unfortunately. There are a decent amount of Lelouchs around, and a couple of Suzakus, but good luck finding practically anyone else. :/

Yes I'm sad at the apparent lack of male figures too - thanks for asking the question!
