ATTENTION CG FIC WRITERS

Hey folks, I'm just here to pimp out the newest Code Geass fic community, [livejournal.com profile] cg_contest .

What this comm does is, each week, starting this Sunday, one of the moderators will post a theme, and then from that day until Friday of the same week, the members of the community will have a chance to write for that prompt.

We welcome any pairing, character, genre, kink, or whatever, as long as it relates to the theme of that week. You can interpret the theme as loosely or as closely as you like, as long as its apparent that your story does in fact tie into the theme of the week.

Then on Saturday, a voting post will go up and then all the members of the comm can vote for whichever fic they thought was the best of that week. On Sunday, we'll tally up the votes and annouce the winner(s).

If you have any questions, there's a more detailed guideline in our profile, or you can go to our FAQ.

Our first theme post will be this Sunday, August 31st- I hope to see some of you there!

You say that all pairings are allowed, however with a voting system won't people end up voting for a story int he cathegory of their favourite pairing rather than read the submitted work all together to make a desicion on the quality of the writing, I'd be a pitty to start writing IMO cause then it sounds a little unfair for those who work with pairings that don't get as much attention as others

Going with the "quality of the writing" concern, what about word counts? Could a drabble compete with someone's 2500 word epic tale? I know it's only a week, but some people will have more time than others. Is there a maximum/minimum guideline?

This reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] dn_contest. I'd love to join, and perhaps participate!

If length gets to be a problem, you could always try what one of the Inuyasha fanfic contests did:

Having a weekly drabble theme and a bi-weekly one-shot theme
