I've watched the raw episode 2 of Code Geass. Lelouch said something I thought was pretty interesting at the end of the episode. Just wonder if anyone else thought about it?

The last line of Lelouch was:「戻って参りました、殿下。すべてをかえるために」
"I've returned, your majesty. In order to ___ everything."

The blank space is "kaeru" かえる. In Japanese, kaeru have several meanings. There are different kanji for kaeru as well.

帰る、返る - to return
変える - to change
換える,替える - to exchange, to convert
代える - to represent, substitute
You'll find many more if you look up a dictionary. (I'll leave out "frog" and "hatch" because those to are not very likely, ah-uh.)

I wonder how the fansub will translate. I'm not doubting their ability. Either one they choose, there is still a possibility Lelouch meant something else...? What does Lelouch really mean by "kaeru"? To pay back all Britiania had done to him and the victims? To get back all that was lost to him in the invasion?
