New Season?

First post and bearing a gift! (... maybe :P)

This (http://pics.livejournal.com/sad_ame/pic/00001t0p/g1) is what I found on a random magazine called "Japan Next" (issue nº22, January 2009) and, given the epic proportions of the announcement (yeah, riiight), I thought to share it was a must.

Since I'm guessing most of you people aren't Spanish-friendly, the translation goes like this:
"Code GEASS, the never-ending tale
The last edition of the magazine Animedia included some words from spokespeople of Sunrise Studios, refering Code GEASS. To begin with, they thanked the fervent fans that made so popular the CDs and DVDs of the series, and added a few words that hinted at more GEASS in the not-so-far future."

Say, has anyone else heard anything about this? Or I'm getting worked up over nothing?

I don't think it'll new, third, season. They didn't say what it may be. Maybe OVA ?

a OVA or maybe a movie how knows when we talk about sunrise
the chances of doing that are high, 'cause they hadn't done more with the end of R2 as they did with the first season u_u well in my opinion.
(remember all animes of sunrise which have OVA or a movie)

I think I'd prefer a prequel OVA instead of a whole third season.

Okay. A Prequel would be too repetative and would either not include Lelouch, or would recap the series. Either way it wouldn't be as exciting because it's just filling in details, which can be handled in novels.

A sequel without Lelouch would ruin what Lelouch worked for and make his death meaningless and invain. It would also make the rest of the characters seem even more incompetent.

A series with a new main character? Really depends. A new protagonist? No, they'd just be a Lelouch clone. One of the already existing characters? Depends on who it is. C.C.? Definately.

C.C. is the only one they could make into a new main character. Everyone else has been explored to the point that their back story would take up one episode. While C.C.'s could make a whole series.

An AU or an alternate telling could also be sucessful. Like their original plans for R2. Something like Nightmare of Nunnally could also be good.

really people are going insane over nothing -_-;
first off "more geass" isn't any direct line of a third season, movie or anything else..
so it could most likely be an announcement for an OVA series which we see a lot these days, though IMO it is just money milking so I wouldn't get excited about it at all.
Gundam Seed, Seed Destiny, Gurren and many other shows received an OVA series after they aired and remember what they were about? The series itself and now why people shouldn't get too excited? Cause Geass is most likely to follow that line and I don't see why I should watch an OVA that is a cramped up version of the episodes I have on DVD lol, I'd spend far more time enjoying the series as a hole rather than have parts cut out or have the entire season sorta speak repeated from scratch, he he.

it will be either an OVA or we will have a special on the last DVD, I heard rumours about a special in which they show what happened to all characters but I'm not going to believe anything until I have seen more proof than just "perhaps we will have more geass in the near future", besides if it were the near future I wouldn't expect a 3rd season at all cause it takes a lot of preparation to do that and Summer Season is not the season where the high budget shows start airing

I think it could be cool if it were set far in the future or past and focused around someone else that had a contract with C.C.

An explaination of what the Geass really is, it's origins and just more about about it would be nice.

Because really, am I the only one who's still a little creeped out whenever the scenes of those walking dead people and eerie black ghost figures floating about appear?

Or something that has to do with their childhood! Kid!Lelouch makes me grin in the stupidest ways.

I think there is potential for more geass, just not the way a lot of people will be expecting it. I believe that if sunrise makes another season, it will be set in the future, and it will follow CC, since she hasn't died yet and the part about what her name is still unknown to us. Yes, I do believe Lelouch is dead, but there are still geass users in that world besides Lelouch.
