One of the many landmarks in the West End of London is Trafalgar Square, which is home to Nelson's Column; the name of the square commemorates Britain's naval victory over the French at Trafalgar, while the column was erected in honor of Admiral Horatio Nelson, who gave his life in service of the crown at said battle.

In Code Geass, the French won instead, leading to Napoleon's occupation of London, the Humiliation of Edinburgh, and the relocation of the crown to America.
