I think this is the point where someone should point out the difference between posting in your journal and a community. This post as it stands now: for a private journal. Had you added pictures already, totally cool for a community post. General LJ type guidelines here; was this post really important enough to share with 4600 people when you have nothing in it to actually share?

If you didn't want to share, you wouldn't have asked - and if we didn't want to see, we wouldn't be a member of the community in the first place.

That's why a post like this is "spam". A community post is suppose to contain some kind of substance to contribute, be it a download, an image, fanfiction, a request or a discussion. Generally speaking, if it doesn't fit one of those categories, it should probably go in your own journal. That's what lb_x was trying to say, I think.

Anyways, I don't really know how to proceed from here. Am I supposed to post the pictures or not? Didn't mean to spam you guys - I didn't know the proper classification of spam, I guess, so when I posted this I was "going into a trap," so to speak.

It would have had comment, by the way, I planned, and still do sort of plan (if it's okay) on adding the photos when I get home.
