I guess you could say the difference would be equivalent to the differences you would find in a small area within the same country - or even the same state (or province). For instance, the area of New York where I live apparently has a distinct accent when compared to other areas of the state. But the difference is so slight that you probably wouldn't even notice it unless you were sensitive to it or listening for it (hint: it's in the pronunciation of our "a" - very flat).
So I'm not saying the difference in accent I'm hearing in Canadian dubs is as huge as, say, the accent in the rural southern US, but it is there. That's not to say it bothers me though! It's merely an observation.
