Oh my... if that background story is canon, people need to stop bashing Suzaku. Poor Lelouch and Nanally, especially Nanally, the horrible ordeal she had to go through. Imagine not being able to see anything and the person in front of you suddenly say "I'm sorry but we decided to kill you since you are useless"... especially not long after having your mother being killed right in front of you.
Yet Nannally still manages to stay so kind... how she does it, I don't know...
