It seems the creators considered his life with Nunnally and Sayoko to be more independent than the series itself would imply. He is canonically godly at cleaning his room, according to DVD #1, which is ironic considering how bad he is at cleaning up after other things.
....and now I want to see Lelouch using his Geass to get in front line at a bake sale. DAMMIT.
