I think it's more likely that they'll make a movie adaption rather than a new series. I would rather that then something that destroys the series' concepts, characters, atmosphere, etc.

I hope not. Why? Because the ending of the anime was by far, the best ending of any anime series ever aired. Extending it any further would just destroy it.

Please let it be. So many excellent series have been ruined by sequels (Final Fantasy X-2, All those damn FFVII add-ons, I didn't think R2 was too good either, Gundam 00 S2 didn't seem to good IMO)

There are really only four routes they can take:

1. Retcon the entire second half of R2 out of existence
2. Adapt one of the existing AU manga
3. The aforementioned Fumoffu option (side stories and other stuff to flesh out the main universe further)
4. Create a new AU from scratch

If they deviate from any of those options, then I'm not committing to a new series.

I dunno...I have mixed emotions about this.

On one hand, CG in itself can stand on its own just fine, and I think R2 concluded it nicely. But on the other, I *do* sort of miss CG and it would be pretty nice to see an AU (lawl I'm wondering what will happen if they show the Philippines as an Area and have some characters come from there, it might be epic, ohoho~) or a new take on the story.

I don't know, but I didn't quite like the 2nd season. 1st was really awesome though. I am quite apathetic towards this news. :(

I loved R2 - the ending was perfect with Lelouch's death though I still shed buckets.

I would love a CG new series cos I'd die to see Lelouch again. Yet how the hell they're gonna do it without destroying R2, I have no idea. (See, I'm contradicting myself here.)

Therefore, my conclusion is that the new CG series would probably be on some other charater who has the code. No Lelouch. :(

I want the main cast to be the same . . . I don't want an entirely new cast (like a new leading guy gets a geass or something). Unless they become likable. . . .but usually the new cast aren't as good as the originals . . .
