Also I adore that Slipping video (can't really watch it because it makes me sad, but I adore it nonetheless) although even though it's set during the Emperor arc, I really think of Slipping as more Lelouch's song about what happened with using Euphemia's death to propel himself forward rather than his phony reign of terror.

I agree with you on Slipping, especially because if you parallel Lelouch and Dr Horrible's character development (which works scarily well, actually). The entirety of R2 is basically act three of Dr Horrible drawn out (with the twist at the end being that Lelouch actually didn't gain power at the price of everything he loved).
