Summary: When Lelouch and Anya are engaged, the Imperial family suffers a few casualties. Third person POV, takes place when Lelouch and Euphie are eight years old.
Spoilers: Spoilers for R2, basically. Speculation and AU, to an extent.
Author's Note: Chapter 3 will bring out some new characters. I'm working towards developing Cornelia, Euphemia, and Lelouch for now, and Anya will probably be very gradual and get more development as she grows, same with Nunnally. There might be a skip in time, but I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep it as canon as possible now, and kill Marianne off. We'll see. And also, I just found out how OLD Cornelia actually is. So she'd be like, 18 in this fic, and I'm definitely not portraying her as that old (perhaps 15?). Would you prefer is at her real age, or not? Please let me know.

Chapter 1 - Young love was pure, and came in a form that was impossible to miss.

Chapter 2 - Happiness took a form that you didn't notice, but still, light could be reflected through it, bringing out colors.
