On the Marianne incident, it was a development yes but rather than offering closure it complicated the storyline more = not for an 'ending'

And I don't care about some cowardly prince..if he showed more spine and more threat for the next season then fine but he isn't..

On the list goes..you talk about development but development is only essential for providing continuity for the next season..what this lacks is closure, something that defines that it does mark an end to a season and not just an episode full of revelations delayed with more to come..something to mark it as separate from the next..do you get me? If there was something that ended, something that definitely marked it as the end to the first season then please tell since I missed it!! Please tell me that something that bound the season together that closed here! What does it END?!

If you could read my rant in my journal, which you can't since it's f-locked, you'd find that I don't hate the episode at all, as it's Geass!! I love it! Whatever my misgivings with it are, my love for CG far outshines them. I just made voice what I felt in line to the subject opened by [livejournal.com profile] cacophonicons. When I watched the ep I was dragged in. I even had to bite my arms just to stop my wails. I can't deny the possibility that part of my critique stems from having a cliffie for my 4-month wait. But still that doesn't change that this trail of thought has already grown roots in me.
