For all we know, by the beginning of Season 2, Nunally has yet to be rescued. It seems bad to not actually dedicate screentime to that story, and I'd think that V.V. is more cunning/devious than to just let Nunally go again. Yeah, it sorta makes you wonder WTF Lelouch and Suzaku are doing right now.
Well, I guess that if V.V. were in cahoots with Suzaku, and Nunally were staying with Suzaku instead of with V.V., it would kinda make sense. If Lelouch knew that, he could at least trust that she's safely with a good guy. But, I don't particularly like this scenario, even though I have no evidence why it wouldn't happen. Also, how the hell is Suzaku supposed to take care of a crippled supposedly-dead princess while he holds a high rank and keeps on getting sent to all corners of the earth? Bah, it's too early in the morning for theorycrafting.
