Oh yes, we do see geass-eyed Emperor. But I think the search is for the source rather than the users. Unless it's observation of the users since the Emperor did go through a lot of trouble just to come up empty-handed. And he didn't seem all that upset about it either.

There may be a connection, but the creators have stated emphatically that Rollo =\= Nunnally. I admit were it not for Lost Colors, I would not like Rollo either. But now I am truly intrigued. This is Geass after all. Everyone is a lying liar who lies.
