I have to disagree. Tsugumi Ohba specifically said she wrote Death Note with no chars as good and evil, Light is what he is. His purpose was good like Lulu's but well, Light developed a god complex XD.
I think Lulu is very similar to Light except that Lulu is perhaps just a tad more human than Light. At this point anyway. Light would have let Sayu die if he could get away with it, and Light really only did care about himself.
