What makes someone a 'bad guy'? You do realize some people view L as the same Light because they are both extremely arrogant, immature, and even L will do things above the law. The only difference between them is that Light does not have the law on his side, and L does.
He killed Lind L. Taylor because he was a threat, and Ray Penbar because it was "better safe than sorry".
Lol, Light doesn't develop into complete insanity until further in. He does question himself a few times, but hes like " I must do this, I'm the ONLY one who can do it.".
I still don't think Light is as evil as you make him out to be ;). Light vs Near is fail. Near doesn't move, and he wins over Light bc he miraculously knows things he shouldnt, and if it wouldnt for Mikami I'd really hate the second arc of death note. On Light vs L, its because they are so similar, and I wouldnt judge the amount of flamewars just by what goes on in 4 chan. I personally don't visit it, but the whole world isnt on 4 chan you know, you can find flame wars for Light x L otherplaces ;). But keep in mind Death Note is over, unlike Code Geass so less speculation and all that.
