So its official that the distribution of episode 3 on the internet was a MISTAKE, and not a crime done by a staff member (from Code Geass site -and many thanks for aoi_rein and akeno_yuki for mentioning it >w<)>

Episode 3 will be aired as planned, with no revision done.

明日の緊急会議で３話の放送中止が決まります。
今後の対応は４話を繰り上げて放送するか、２週間放送中止して流出した３
話を一部作り直して放送するかを決める。

Just a few minutes ago, one of the staff members was arrested.

At the emergency meeting tomorrow, the stopping of the airing of episode 3 will be determined and announced.
From here, we may air the story planned for episode 4 earlier (skip episode 3), or not air anything for 2 weeks and then air a revised version of the leaked episode 3; we will decide that tomorrow.
This has been informed to all cast and staff, including the director.

They're not really punishing us... its just that because it was leaked, they feel like (MAY BE) changing it ... not direct punishment for us. It's just that we take it as some punishment so don't talk too much crap about Sunrise please TwT;; it's not their fault. I mean, even if it was some other company, I'm sure they would consider such actions TwT

Still, for me anyway, the six minutes didn't spoil much. I already had suspected most of what was revealed.

It's not "shorten episode 4", it's "move up ep4's broadcast time" - basically skipping ep 3. The rest is for the most part okay content wise (I could nitpick, but don't see much point unless for language learning/teaching purposes).

.....ok maybe I did watch what was leaked... but I was curious. There wasn't really much spoiled. All it did was make me want moooore. It's not like the fans who have been watching R2 didn't know about Rollo and his geass already.

I don't get the remaking of the episode part. Sure I can stand the two weeks we may have to wait but I don't want them to remake it. What's the point? As some of the other have people said it's not like it's the last 6 minutes of the last ep. It's only the 3rd ep. ugh. They've already taken care of one who leaked it. So why all the major fuss? They should just leave it to air on t.v. as it is, and maybe watch their staff and other r2 episodes more closely. But that's all.

*sighs* Really Sunrise... you make it hard for me to keep my interest in CG with its loooooong waits. Anyone else here feel the same?

Except that they didn't delay the release of the Hulk movie when it got leaked. I'm just saying the smart thing to do is soldier on and show the episode on schedule. It's only the last 6 minutes anyway so you would have to watch the whole thing to really understand it.

Giving brief descriptions about an episode, or airing the first episode early for fans is totally different from illegally taking parts of an episode and releasing it.

This only means that they're going to improve the episode, and make it more interesting for viewers. They aren't doing anything stupid, their just rethinking things to make it more interesting.

I understand that you want a weekly Geass, I do too, but I can understand what Sunrise is doing here. This is an option for them to take a different path in their planning for the future of the series.
