The episode begins with Rollo appearing to Xing-Ke and saying that he would kill Zero. His phone suddenly rings and he is surprised that it was Lelouch calling him. Viletta takes the phone from Lelouch, and the camera pans, showing Lelouch in gym class (and shorts o_O), telling Rollo to come home. The attack on the Chinese Embassy is aborted for now.
Meanwhile, Kallen (in her old outfit) is watching TV, talking to Zero, all the while talking to him as if he was Lelouch. It turns out C.C. was the one inside the mask, and bitchfight begins. ^^;
Cut again to Ashford, where the slavedriver Milly is ordering around the Student Council as they cook in the kitchen. (+1 to Lelouch's culinary skills). We go again to Viletta in some secret monitoring room with Rollo and the soldiers. Viletta does know Lelouch as Zero, and also about C.C. and the Geass. However, recent events have made her change her mind if Lelouch is really Zero.
Again back to Ashford, where Lelouch's carefully phrased questions reveal that the Student Council don't remember a thing about Nunnally, only about Rollo.
Meanwhile, at the El Amain front, Suzaku is kicking EU Panzer butt. Schneizel is back, having apparently borrowed Suzaku again for the mission.
At Ashford, Lelouch is looking over at old photos at the PC. Rollo comes in and Lelouch sees the locket he gave Rollo as a birthday preset. Remarking that he should get a locket more suited for a boy, Rollo freaks out, and refuses to give Lelouch the locket (he's rather attached isn't he?).
Later, Viletta and Rollo are at the underground facility in Ashford (where Nunnally was held on episode 16, season 1). A man comes in and Rollo kills him, using his Geass to stab the man before Viletta can react.
Insert random fanservice with Kallen taking a bath, getting harassed by C.C. and being introduced to XingKe, while wearing only a towel. A news bulletin comes out on the TV, showing Toudouh, Sugiyama, Chiba, Ougi, Tamaki, etc to be executed. The Black Knights and Kallen are outraged. Viletta is also seeing the live feed and upon seeing Ougi, she looks regretful/sad (?).
Lelouch is also watching the TV, and Shirley comes in, asking for help in buying a present for Viletta's birthday (I think). Rivalz however, is eavesdropping, so Milly, Rollo and Rivalz follow Shirley and Lelouch to the mall. Before leaving, we see Lelouch in the bathroom, removing and inspecting a contact lens. C.C. had given him that lens to block the power of geass.
Shirley and Lelouch go to buy red wine as a present, and while Lelouch is talking about buying Date wine, Shirley gets flustered at the word 'date.' Lelouch also geasses a bank clerk, who will later on activate the fire alarm. Shirley spots a couple about to kiss, and is flustered (apparently still having the hots for Lelouch). Lelouch surprises her, asking her what she is looking at. Trying to divert his attention, she points at the poster for a Cable car, pretending to want to ride one. Lelouch immediately feels guilty, remembering the last time they were at Narita, and the events with Mao at the Cable car.
Lelouch is aware of the 3 following him, and with Shirley as his accomplice, changes his clothes and sneaks away from his pursuers.
The rest of the episode is that of the leaked last 6 minutes:
- Lelouch making the call, to make a bomb threat
- the stampede of the shoppers because of the fire alarm
- Lelouch ambushing Rollo
- Rollo activating his geass, and turning the tables. Lelouch immediately thinks that it is a Geass to stop the time.
