I love your theory about different levels of Suzaku. Hell, even the Suzaku who pointed gun at Lelouch at the end of season one seems different with the one that shot Lelouch's gun away, which supposedly happened only a second later. And then the way he stared down at Lelouch, that cold, almost detached hatred was a complete opposite to his burning anger previously.
I only hope it isn't bad characterization from Sunrise part...
