I honestly liked it, pronunciation of Suzaku's name aside. As I said in an earlier post, it probably helps that I've never seen the original and can't compare them.
I'd wondered if there was any way to make "Rivalz" not sound completely God-awfully stupid. If "Rivvle" was a change, I think it was a good one.

I am going to wait for the episode tomorrow - I need to figure out what time it will be on here in Nevada. I am recording it for a friend to watch who has never seen Code Geass. I am just sad that she will have to bare witness to the dub first before the sub.

Anyhow,I will give my opinion on the voice acting tomorrow, but from what I heard so far from the few clips that I have watched - well Lelouch's voice scares me.

Suzaku's voice being deeper then Lelouch's is not cool at all. I deeply miss Jun's sexy, deep voice.

I liked most of the voices alright. I think Lelouch's is bothering me the most. It's very different and it's really close to Ichigo's. I think I could possibly get used to it. The first clip I heard of Lloyd made me very sad but his is growing on me a little as well now that I've heard more of him. Still wish they hadn't gone with a british accent for him really.

Oh hey, I just realized that I happen to be in the US right now. I should take advantage of the fact that my IP isn't blocked.

I like C.C.'s voice. Kid!Lelouch made me laugh, and... I did not expect Adult!Lelouch's voice. It took a few seconds for me to decide that no, I really don't like it. He sounds like he's pretending to be bored when he's supposed to sound smug. The rest of the student council sounds about right, though... Kallen too.

And... I'm only a few minutes into the episode, so no other opinions.

Ok, I will admit Johnny isn't bad when hes just talking, you know regular drabble. Except for the fact all I can picture is ICHIGO, and I don't even watch the Bleach anime let alone the dub... But present him with any sort of dramatic dialogue and it just sounds off. I mean seriously, what was up with that sound he made after C.C. tripped? My eyes almost bulged out of my head when I heard that. Sorry Johnny, you ruined Lulu.

And Kallen's "bad mother" line.... w.t.f.? It was funny though, at first until it sunk in she actually said it. And I dislike her VA. Was she another one of the VAs who have done Naruto games?

Overall everything just sounded over dramatic. Forced, I guess is another word. It just made it seem.... dorky? Thats probably not even the right way to describe it. It just sounded so over dramatized, it was rather embarassing to watch. Probably the only lines that really bothered me were his 'obliterate Britannia' ones (come on, obliterate? They couldn't use something fiercer sounding? Destroy or even Annihilate would have worked. Obliterate just sounds awkward), and his last lines. Wasn't he supposed to mention being a prince there?

I rather like Suzaku's VA, though it bugs the hell out of me to hear him and Lulu Johnny talking, because his voice is so much deeper than Johnny's.

C.C. I'll get over eventually. It'll never sound right, but its tolerable if you don't pay attention.

Lloyd's still sounds off to me... Its weird. Maybe its the accent...

And I hated Shirley's VA until her second line after she almost got Lulu shot. But what was up with that "Madame President" line?

Overall, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It could have been worse. It could have ended up like Naruto *shudder*

But still I need to go cleanse my brain of this. Where did I set my subs...

Ugh, most the first half of the episode, Johnny's delivery was so wooden. Then once the bullets started flying he seemed to shift more comfortably into his role. I hope he doesn't end up sounding like the first half all the time in Ashford. Kallen's the opposite. Her normal voice sounds fine but once she tries to use any emotion she sounds like a robot (lol Aigis!). Shirley sounds like a typical annoying teenage girl (though I liked her that jerk! line). And the more I hear of Yuri's Suzaku, the less I like it. :( I did like most of the supporting characters I heard though. Can't wait for more Villetta.

I actually liked the dub. XD I think... I was more pleased at being able to actually watch it on my computer legally. But yeah, I mean... it's not perfect, but nobody really annoyed me and I actually liked CC's voice this time around. I guess the clip in the trailer was just an awkward moment.

And I'll have to agree with several others; I found most of Johnny's portrayal of Lelouch to be very flat sounding. The last scene was better, but definitely had less impact than the original. I really hope to see improvements.

I'll probably keep watching and give it some time before I make any conclusions, although I do want to see how the other characters will sound like.

It's really sad when I see a dub, and I despise all of the main character's voices. Suzaku was the best of all of them. I really wanna see what they do for his ore! form.

But Lelouch...Johnny you failed. Hard. He really needed a LOT more emotion in his lines. I'll admit the last couple were better (If he had screwed up the "Lelouch Vi Britannia commands you to die" line, I would have cried, but its not as bad as it could have been.) And his last line was okay. (I'll admit, the first time I heard Junjun say that line, I was hooked.)

The only voices I liked were Orange-kun's and Viletta's. Can't wait til Cornelia comes in, too.

I suppose I shall continue to watch, if only to hear all the great side character's voices.

(Oh, and the Badass Mother! line made me lol SO HARD. XD Oh, Kallen, what have they done to you? D: )

Adding support for the minor characters + Suzaku. His flying kick is something awesome. I also think Clovis was exceptionally well done - sounded just as fake as he ought to.

Lelouch's lines were delivered weak though. He just lacked the charisma that drew me to Lelouch/Geass originally.

All in all, I'm liking the dub. It's only the first episode so I am waiting for everyone to settle into their roles more really. But I like it.

The only character's dub I really liked was Reid's, Orange-kun, Clovis talking casually, the Special Ops Officer, and that Britannian girl in the crowd.

CC's narration in the beginning sounded too cheerful, but Clovis did a great job.

One thing that annoyed the hell out of me was the way Suzaku's pronounced. I excuse everyone else saying his name funny, that is, every other Britanian, but if he's japanese then he would definately be pronouncing it the normal way.... suppose they cant be bothered...

As for the dub, I am extremely impressed! Yeah, it's not the Japanese seiyuu, and chibi Lulu makes me want to cry, but I think they did a fantastic job. I'm especially impressed with Diethard and Clovis. Lloyd is very different, but it works really well. Not sure on Kallen yet, but Lulu isn't bad for not being Jun Fukuyama. Me thinks I will continue to watch the dub. ^_^

I was impressed with the dub....which I think says a LOT since I usually avoid dubs at all costs (so many fans of the Inuyasha dub yet I think it's one of the worst out there). The mispronounciation of Suzaku was to be expected - that happens ALL the time in dubs (just look at the Tsubasa dubs and the name murders there, Inuyasha even more :-p) But as far as actual casting goes, they did a fantastic job. Yeah, Lelouch sounds a little "soft" a lot, but his "I accept the terms of the contract" was veeeeeeery good (I won't say perfect, but it was close).
I LIKE Kallen's voice. So far anyway. That first line of hers sucked, but everything else she sounded just like I imagined she would in English. So I'm pleased. Everyone else sounded decent too - um, except C.C. She's tolerable, but the voice is off a little. I dunno.

OH yeah, and did anyone else who waited to see the dub on tv totally LOL when they rushed through the ending?
I was all "what the hell is wrong with the song?" and then when I noticed the images flashing by.....yeah. Classic. Made of fail, but classic anyway.

They did that with the OP as well. I got excited when the song was about to come on and then when it did, I was like "Wait--something is off!".

And the ending was awkward...seriously, it's only a few seconds more; Adult Swim isn't going to die because of that.

I'm lovin' what I've heard so far, My only WTF is Lloyd, he sounds so weird to me. I was imagining a slightly younger version of Shigure's voice from Fruits Basket for some reason and they come out with this weird little British accent thing to his voice.

I was satisfied! I already expected Lelouch, C.C., and Kallen (I was so shocked they didn't call her Karen) not to sound up to par, so everyone else sounded great, imo.

As everyone else stated, Lelouch sounded waaay too much like Ichigo. Which is horrible. Simply horrible. Not that I hate Ichigo, really ^_^;;

Kallen and C.C. sounded a bit weak, but I think I can get used to their dub voices.

Lloyd! Oh, I'm so glad! Liam O'Brien did such a great job on him<3 I gasped suuuper loudly when I realized the scene where he first appears in was next XD

I was just happy to see the spoiled slaughtered so long ago bratty prince! And as for Suzaku, I started choking on the water I was drinking when I knew Suzaku would be the next to appear XD He sounded fine, too, imo.

The only thing that really pissed me off was how they pronounced Rivalz' name. There's clearly a 'z' in his name! Don't leave it silent, you evil bastards! ;___;
Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing more people, especially more of Cornelia~~
