I don't think Lelouch will turn insane or something. He has already killed people and he is still pretty sane. He also understands that whenever he fights the Britannian army, people are bound to get killed. My opinion is that he PREFERS not to kill people but if it comes to it, he will kill people.
Moreover, I don't believe Lelouch will end up like Kira(Death Note). He likes to do the right thing but he understands he has to get his hands dirty. I mean, that's war. You gotta win. ie, he'll do *evil* things not 'cause he can, or he wants, but he needs to.
