I just finished watching Ep6 and here's my little overview, it wot't be an epic post though.

Its friggin about time that the Guren Nishiki had a floater and increased firepower! I knew it was coming but the timing and the way the upgrades came is just so sweet!

Looks like Nunnally has taken Euphie's path, which gives Zero/Lulu unpleasnt memories and stalls his capture of his little sister. Add to that Nunnally and Suzaku, the man who sold him to Britannia escaping together before his very eyes and thats emotional damage to Zero/Lelouch.

I was a bit surprised to see Nunnally becoming another Euphie-nized... You know being totally optimistic and the super trust in peace. That. What interests me more is to see how Lelouch will react to this.

Honestly, I see that Lelouch that will be convinced that Nunnally has been brainwashed by by Britannia and just like Euphie, Zero will kill him. This for me is the most logical that Lelouch will do considering his current personality and mentality. But he may do otherwise, and still save Nunnally. He's his Raison d' tere, after all. I don't know actually. Its very unpredictable.

The next epsisode's titled "The Discarded Mask". Any gueses to what might this episode hold for us?

All I can say, in regards to episode 6 is.

adjdofjadofjaojf. Finally Kallen got some actual love from Sunrise that didn't involve taking off her clothes. ;_;.

She's such a badass.

...

I love her. <333

Also, yeah. It seems a little too obvious but maybe Lulu will attempt to give up the whole Zero deal for like. Five minutes. In the next episode.

>and just like Euphie, Zero will kill him.

Er.. you mean Nunnally...? I honestly have no idea who you're talking about here. But if you mean Nunnally:

Okay, so far I've only seen half of the episode. But the reason Lelouch is leading this whole rebellion is because of Nunnally. If Nunnally is dead, there's no reason for him to continue anymore. That and he'd probably kill himself, knowing he was the reason Nunnally died. ...And the only reason he had to kill Euphie was because she had been Geass'd to kill all the Japanese, which probably wouldn't happen again (not to mention Nunnally's eyes are closed).

In my experience, episode titles in Code Geass describe the overall event of the episode, only to take a complete turnaround in the last five minutes. I suspect Lelouch will try to discard his Zero mask, but won't be able to. He has much more than Nunnally on his plate now - he promised C.C. his wish and he promised to create Rolo a future of freedom by crushing Britannia. Lelouch might be using Rolo, but he has a twisted habit of completing his promises.

In either case, Nunnally now has everything to figure out that Lelouch and Zero are the same person. Which may lead to her realizing that Suzaku is using her. If anything, I suspect her to blurt out something at the press-conference that'll completely turn the situation around.

In either case, Lelouch will not raise his hand at Nunnally. He still loathes himself for killing Euphie, and with her dead, Nunnally is his everything. If she'll die, he'll either kill himself or ensure that Britannia becomes a mass burial in her honor.

Also, Guren Aerial has made me incredibly happy. It's a beautiful Knightmare that easily compares to Tristan in terms of design and functionality. I fully expect Kallen to kick tons of ass with it from now on.

Lulu would never kill Nunnally, he'd rather give his own life for her and on the other hand I doubt that he'll agree to the Special Administration Zone, his reminisces about Euphie are way too deep and I reckon that his hatred towards his father would never permit that; don't forget that his aim was never peace to begin with, but to destroy Britanni.

ok well i'm gonna start with the name of the new epi. The discarded mask" just sounds like headway for Lulu becoming discouraged and questioning everything thats he's done and doing. His reason for living and fighting pretty much just told him to his face that he was wrong for what he was doing and ran off with his current worst enemy (besides Brittania itself). though I think he'll get around this little moral funk, I don't think he can kill Nunnaly, shes the one of the main reasons he's even doing all this, the Pinkett and Blondie was one thing, they were expendable (just more Brittanian royals) but killing his blind and cripled Nieve little sister is a different idea all together. and yes poor Nannuly if very much Nieve if she thinks the Japan is going to trust brittania again and egt along all nicely like happy friends! (* shiney backrounds, ponies and rainbows!*) then she needs a wake up call to the world around her that her big brother has been protecting her from. Shes already had a taste, I think its time she got the full efffect. Suzaku has once again pissed me off, but then I think i'm just gonna stay pissed off with the little traitor all this season. The Rolo thing was cool, I didn't expect that at all, but they pulled it off perfectly, and suzu was left with his "WTF?". The improved Guren was badass. it really brings out kallen's skills. now ts up to todo and his people(well whats left of them) to improve. if they want to stay alive. I love it when Lakshata shocks Lloyd, its funny as hell. I like the way they showed a little of C.C. not wanting Zero to die by having her put her faith in kallen saving him.

Ja ne!

Thanks. If I hadn't stayed up too late last night and watched the episode myself I'd have been pretty pissed off to have the episode spoiled for me because you didn't think to use LJ cut. ~.~

Ummm I've not seen anything in episode 5 or 6 that gives me the impression Nunnally has been "brainwashed" in any way shape or form. Not agreeing with Lelouch/Zero does not equal brainwashed. I personally think Nunnally would be pretty damn upset to find out her beloved brother in her name murdered Clovis and Euphie along with countless others.

I'd also beg to differ on Suzaku "using" Nunnally. One could argue just as easily that Lelouch is in fact "using" her to explain his own sociopathic tendencies and need for revenge. It seems pretty clear Suzaku does care about Nunnally as a person and unlike Lelouch does not have a past history of seeing people as nothing but pawns.

I think Nunnally wanting to follow in Euphie's footsteps makes complete sense. We saw in R1 that Nunnally was quite fond of Euphie, Nunnally has lived in Japan for a long time, as governor what better way to remember a beloved sister and to help a country she cares for?

I think I may be one of only about two people that didn't really like the Guren's upgrade or how it happened. *shrug*

I was wholly unsurprised when Nunnally took on Euphie's views. In season one, they appeared to share the same values and morals. Furthermore, no one--not Lelouch, Suzaku, or Euphie--told her anything. There was nothing to indicate that Nunnally would suddenly develop a cynical streak. And as a result, Lelouch reacted exactly as how he did when Suzaku and Euphie were being totally optimistic and trusting in peace--"omgwtfNO. D:<"

The situation with Nunnally will be his last chance to make things right. He tried to watch out for Suzaku and ended up losing him and making an enemy of him. He tried to plan around Euphie, too, and lost his first love. He absolutely cannot screw it up with Nunnally. He won't kill her. He'd rather die trying than to break his own motivation.

And I don't think she's been brainwashed for Britannia. She simply hasn't been given much information to work with. Also, I think she's kinda dumb/naive, but maybe it'll change with some political experience.

I watch the next ep preview... and dunno, if sunrise wants to keep LeLouch's role as tragedic hero, he will eventually come to kill Lunally and perhaps, will suffer a major breakdown.

I think LeLouch personality hasn't much evolved since the first ep, he still struggles to destroy Brittania for sake of his own, and idealism to create a peaceful world solely for her sister.

Since her sister, the reason he lives crossed with his path, there only could be two options: to give up or to find a new reason. I suspect LeLouch, in next ep will suffer frustation and probably confused of his purpose now.

He is torn up between dilemma between to crush the faith of people who trust him, or to continue the struggle. I expect, if Sunrise intends to evolve LeLouch's personality, he will be matured somehow and find his new reason to continue become Zero.

If not... well... let's just expect some cruel angst shall we?

Of course, this all will be much simpler if Nunally realizes Zero is her brother and switch her side. I wonder if she will become tragedic heroine as well? Let's just wait.

the guren's upgrade had too much of a Deus Ex Machina, though im fine with it since lakshata is a crazy woman to begin with

and yes Nunnally is just simply out of the loop

Nunnaly probably figured out who Zero was in that last second of the episode. Regardless, she has lots of questions for Suzaku, I'm sure, and I'm curious as to how Suzaku's going to answer them. The dick thing to do to Lelouch would be to tell her the whole truth, including about how he used Geass on Euphie, but I'm not sure if Suzaku would do that to Nunnaly.

And of course next episode is going to be the obligatory 'main character goes emo and decides not to do whatever he's been doing all series anymore until the last 5 minutes when somebody/something inspires him to keep going' episode that follows any episode that does something severely demoralizing to the protagonist.

And Lloyd was fucking awesome in this episode. Especially the quick cut to "ITAAA-" when Lancelot got punched in the face. And him calling the Emperor "Curly". If this is a sign of the level and nature of the Lloyd we'll be getting in the future I think R2 is going to be pretty win.

This episode was badass. OMG!

Suzaku that rat! But we ALL know Nunally found out that Zero is Lelouch or that Lelouch sided with Zero/Black Knights. Now things are going to click in her head about her suspicions about the phone call that Suzaku forced on Lelouch and the very reason Lelouch told her pretend that they didn't know each other.. or at least I hope it does.

I was devestated when I thought Kallen was going to crash and then POW! We got the Guren Aerial Upgrade. XD Finally those Knights got a taste of their own medicine, even if it was a little. I also loved how Sunrise showed Lloyd all shocked by Lakshata. That was funny.

For the next episode, I have to agree with the others on how Lelouch rethinks what he's doing and has second thoughts. I can't wait! ~squees~

sidenote concerning lloyd and milly: are they ever going to get married?

I think I'm going to have to make more emo!Lulu icons since that last episode. D:

Anyway, I did like where it was going, until the Guren upgrade. WAAAY too deus ex machina for me. (Why didn't they outfit her with the new parts BEFORE the battle?)

And now CG mecha has become all haxy and pewpewpew-ish. Thanks a lot, Sunrise. -_-. I liked the mecha back in the first season where Lancelot and Guren were the only haxy mecha around.

And though I felt SO BAD for Lulu, he really brought this one upon himself. And, did we really not see this one coming? Nunnally is too sunshine and bubbles to ever accept what Zero was doing as right. Though, I do hope she learns that it was her dear Onii-sama in the suit and that Suzaku was lying to her. I wonder what she would do then?

And yes, Lloyd was awesome in this episode. Forget Millay; I wanna marry Lloyd now. <3
