Call me weird, but it was always Nan-ah-lee to me. And Gee-ah-ss. I mean, yes, it sounds weird, but I assume the only reason it sounded like that was because of the Japaneses' accents.
Give the actors some time, too. They're not all that astonishing right now, but they just started. They aren't used to the characters yet and are still trying to find the voice that fits them best. How many of us understood Lelouch or Suzaku when we first laid eyes on them? What about Shirley and Milly? Nina? Euphemia?
Give them some time. Johnny's 2008's go-to guy for a reason, and Yuri's also popular for a reason. Not to mention, each week, the acting and voices get better and better. :|
