So, since Turn 7 was so boring full of plotless angst, what are everyone's predictions for Turn 8? We know from the previews that Diethard and Nina are back in the show, at least. =D

...and did anyone else notice Euphemia randomly in the shorter preview? What do you think of that, a flashback or is Euphie an Eleven hating Zombie Princess? xD

I predict that...there will be more fanservice. xD And that Sunrise will once again fill their ghey quota for the week. Aaand...it will probably have something to do with China.

By the way, this is my first real post in this comm. Hi everybody! =D

NOTE: I didn't think there were spoilers in this. o_O So I didn't put it behind a cut. Sorry! ^^; And it's so much harder to express sarcasm in written form. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I didn't like Turn 7, it's just that there weren't quite as many plot developments in it as compared to the first six episodes of R2.

And what's up with all the Nina hate? Yeah she was rather weird and did get annoying, but she was still a rather important character, after all.

Why everyone don't like this episode? (Well, at least what I seen until now)

I think you should put this behind a cut. It's slightly spoiler-y.

Plotless angst? I don't think you can say that at all. I think you've mistaken that necessary thing called character development for filler.

And I must be watching a different show, because I didn't see omgztehghei from that scene. I saw subtext and manipulation, which are vastly different, and I'm not quite sure why everyone seems to find it cute when I think it foreshadows backstabbing.

Heah, quite boring.
But there was an awesome scene with Kallen, C.C. and Kaguya. And another cute scene with Kallen (Lelouch is NOT GAY!!oneoneeleven111). And a grand finale with The Return of Zero. I was ready to much more angst and fail.

How can people not enjoy Lelouch hitting the rock bottom portion of his Behind the Music special, throwing away his friends to turn to drugs and sex to make the pain go away? I was in tears!

But beyond that,I think this episode showed a marked leap in maturity for Lelouch that I was glad to see. And that he really needed to show to keep the story moving and to evolve as a character.

Seconding the lj-cut comment.

Personally not happy about Nina being back, but I'll reserve judgement until I see whether she matured in the past year. :/

Fourthing(?) the cut comment. And aww, I liked 7. But I'm a sucker for angst intersperced with random fluffy moments.

I wonder how long it'll take for a table moment now that Nina's back. And everything always needs moar Lloyd.

I thought episode 7 was good. Not the best episode, but certainly not boring. Character development is just as important as plot.

As for the next episode, I'd love for them to just stop with the ridiculous fanservice completely, but alas they will probably continue. Lelouch hasn't given up Zero or leading the Black Knights. So even though he said he will join SAR you can bet he has some plan up his sleeve. The world stage is next.

I actually liked this episode and I think it is a bit shallow to say it was "plotless angst", to be honest. The mindset of Lelouch/Zero is pivotal to the show and this showed us a very interesting view of his mindset.

Welcome to the comm! Hope you enjoy it here.

I actually found Turn 7 to be highly enjoyable and very important for understanding certain characters. Lelouch, Nunnally, Rolo, and Kallen were fleshed out considerably, and the subtleties of the episode allowed us to speculate more on Suzaku and C.C.

The fanservice is so blatant in R2 that I think it's pretty much an in-joke among us Geass fans. Sorta like the ubiquitous PIZZA HUT! and Biglobe.

And I'm pretty sure that that's a flashback. Euphie's worn that dress in season one (everyone else got wardrobe changes), and having her come back from the dead is a plot device even more retarded than the accidental massacre. >_>

Whaaaat. That episode was full of WIN w/ awesome sprinkled all over the goddamn top =O

And Diethard already made his first appearance...

I didn't see Euphie, but my sister did, so now I guess I gotta watch it again...
I'm interested in seeing Nina :3
Yay for more fanservice~~ I predict more GinoSuza :D

...plotless angst? WTF! I thought it was a good episode! I mean...I thought Lulu would never ever do something like that to Kallen!!!

And...it was amazingly GAY!!! I mean...LuluxRollo...anyone? GOD! It was a cute, yet incredibly gay, scene!!

It wasn't that bad really...and I'm confused about the preview, I can't really say or predict what is going to happen.

I like it when the character has to face his own problems. Like inner turmoils and such. Character development, yes? IMO a boring person would be someone who isn't evolving/devolving and pretty much stays the same.

Rollo is such an ukepile. /random

To be honest, I didn't love the episode that much either. It was plenty angsty and fun, like all the rest of the episodes. I know if doesn't make sense to say it was too angsty (since angst is pretty much the reason we watch the show...) but usually the angst is done well and makes at least some sense.

I felt like there was too much of a random switch in Lulu's personality. Sure it was fun to watch him hit rock bottom, but was there really any reason for it? All he found out was that his sister *gasp* has free will and a mind of her own and that maybe what he was doing was unnecessary. Had his epiphany been that Nunnally thinks what he is doing is completely horrific and wrong then he might have come to realization of how much of a hypocrite and a monster he is. That would have been a cause for some real angst. Instead he comes to some mushy conclusion that he has to fight for all his friends, not just his sister.

Hopefully this is a just a set up for things to go horrible horrible wrong and he'll be back to his old maniacal self.

Ahaha I liked the episode because I'm a KallenxLelouch fangirl at heart.

But it was pretty much angssttt. Disguised as character development, but angsstttt. It was ok, but not as good as the past 6 episodes.

But as for predictions for episode 8- they didn't really leave us with a cliff hanger to hang off, so I'm a big like "meh". (unlike before when I was like OMG NUNNALLY'S A GOVERNOR??? OMG W0T'S LULU GONNA DO?)

But I agree on the China thing. More reintroducing characters and introducing new characters.
